My review
Club Shop nice a roomy and all the staff very helpful. My sister picked up her ticket she ordered this morning no problem. Lots of shirts being bought (I bought three) and got them numbered no problem. They certianly have cracked how to run the shop. For those who can remember the club shop at the Goldstone this is a million miles from it. Finally the Club have moved into the 21st century and I am poorer for it.
Food kiosks, I appreciate there will be teathing problems but being able to speak a basic level of English would certainly help.
The North Stand only had one shutter open out of four and our server was frankly an embarrassement. He couldn't use the till, couldn't understand the order, didn't realise you had to pull the silver foil off the hot chocolate before adding hot water. My order of pie and pint meal deal and hot chocolate came to three different prices!!! Had to tell him it should cost £8.30.
His supervisor ended up taking the till over. Hopefully with a few more training days for them they will be much better. Would be a good idea to have pints ready pulled (they did have this cracked during half time) Noticed at half time my server was no longer serving. There was a guy at half time selling fosters from a cool bag so when people have clocked on to that they should reduce the queues.
Lots of tv screens which is good and the concourses are large and spacious rather than the type you get a Bournemouth for instance.
When the North Stand is full the stand will be rocking. The atmosphere will be superb and I for one can't wait for the night game against Palarse when there will be a cracking atmosphere. The acoustics will be the making of this stadium.
The walk to the station was great and trains every ten minutes to Brighton will help the flow of people leaving the ground. What people have to remember is that if you went to Villa for the cup tie the nearest station is Whitton and with 40,000 leaving the ground there were only trains every 30 minutes so makes Falmer Station more like Kings Cross. So we are lucky in that respect.
So my first impression of our new catherdral was one to bring a tear to my eye and roll on Donnie.
Thank you Mr Bloom and Mr Knight
You're not wrong about the Villa comment. The train service there was nothing short of a farce.
