Fair play but that's not possible for everyone. Some people are paying out half their salary in rent.

Her boyfriend was renting too. He works in road maintenance, so is on quite good money. His girlfriend was doing 2-3 jobs. That seems to be the way to do it. If your 26 you have the energy to do that. I know this isn't possible for everyone.

I agree about the uni fees and I do wonder why more didn’t defer this year. I’m not blaming them but the cost of uni does make me wonder whether it is worthwhile anymore and this year even more so.

Son is in his third year of a chemistry masters which is essential if he continues in this field. Similar story with my daughter studying child nursing. Both essential for future carriers and the subjects that should be encouraged.

But you're not denied service if you don't have a mobile and also they don't tend to hold your medical data.

The idea that I've got to show albiet a small part of my medical history just to get a service is fundamentally wrong. It's vaccination enforcement by the back door. It has always been the case in this country that medicine has not been enforced .... this changes that principle.

I've had the jab and have my second booked but the persons business that is is mine and my GP's.

As others have said, ethics aside, this has disaster and the award of contracts to friends written all over it.

I want to know whether the people around me have had their jabs, other wise i am not going to mix, simple

Veering a little ot oldest Potting offspring has decided to study for a degree via the Open University and live at home a little longer whilst still working at the supermarket PT. Based on her friends Un experiences this year she doesn't see the point in paying '000 in rent and living costs.

No that is incorrect. Our children are not taking the tests twice a week and I would be very surprised if any primary school was asking it. From the same info you posted:

Note, it excludes primary age children.

The young who have sacrificed so much to protect the old now being shut out of society through no fault of their own, is it? Can’t see this holding up well against discrimination legislation.

It's the main story on the BBC site this morning.

Given the OP mentions vaccination proof or negative test this looks like it could be used to open up properly while the younger generations wait for their vaccine - ostensibly good news. We've been testing regularly as my son is in Secondary School and my daughter Primary (and, yes GCCM, she is the only one NOT testing as she doesn't have to). They are not much fun but have given us a lot of confidence to go out and about as each has been negative.

A rather strange attitude but I guess one that only affects you. Do you ask for people in supermarkets to prove they've had the jab when you go shopping ?

Not having had a test, I have a lot of allergies and my nasal passages are really sensitive and close/clog up quite a lot; I worry that if I shove a long cotton bud in there it will trigger rhinitis. Does it have to up the hooter or can it be done in the back of the throat like I've seen on the telly ?

Up the hooter for me and the boy - that's how he was shown at school. You'd have to ask a testing expert if the lateral flow tests can be done using the back of the throat.

My wife takes the lateral flow test twice a week as she works in a school. According to the instructions you have to take a swab from both the nose and the back of the mouth.

They were trailing an anal swab if that helps

Everyone will be able to take a free rapid coronavirus test twice a week from the 9th April.

Reclaiming our lost freedoms & getting back to normal hinges on us all getting tested regularly.

Hancock’s latest tweet......there was me thinking it was the vaccine :moo:
