If Carlsberg made footballers........he would not make the first 20,000...the worst player EVER to don the stripes! Now I just googled Michael Mahoney-Johnson, the king of all things crap when it comes to the Albion, and unexpectedly found a picture of him in the Bunburys cricket team brochure. For those not familiar, the Bunburys are a sort of travelling XI made up of ex (and sometimes current) cricketers, alleged celebrities, sportsmen and what have you, and they play games to raise money for charity.
The ex-Albion legend is described THUS by the Bunburys' website:
Mike Mahoney-Johnson
Professional footballer (QPR) and explosive athlete.
Came to us in 1997 and dazzled us with his extraordinary bowling fielding and quality chat. ‘Micky Mo-Jo’ is here to stay lifting the team with his quirky genius and exuberant humour.
Perhaps altogether more interesting, however, is that a member of the current Albion squad has also played for the Bunburys. Anyone know, or like to guess, who that is?
