I'm sorry for taking the thread in a different direction, but I've been thinking about some of the old days. And it occured to me, one of the all time greats in our midfield at the Priestfield is a man who deserves (if he hasn't already been) to be mentioned in this thread. Ladies and gentlemen, a man whose name didn't turn up many picture results on google, I give you;

Andy Arnott


According to Wikipedia, which is universally reliable, he made 150 league appearances. And then that's it. He seemed to stop existing after 6 appearances for Welling in 2004, no goals.

I liked Arnott. Glenn Hoddle type of player. Actually, probably more Glenn Campbell
