i know bloom has money - though will wait to see what player money it might mean, but are you about to start blowing your wage structure to pieces? i have read plenty of times on here about wages at your club and i know you are on the dawn of a new era or whatever but beckford is on a significant weekly wage, and he wants more than that. so you need to be looking at £13k+ a week flat salary.

that is all irrelevant in the grand scheme of things though because your old friend bj has not sold brighton kindly at leeds and jamma wants to either go home or get more money at leeds and don't count a mystery person stumping up for his contract yet. ;)

Blimey! you are paying that sort of money to players and you can't get out of the THIRD DIVISION ??

Is Tony Bloom already beginning to splash the cash? I can't really think who else in League One can afford him:

According to the Leeds Evening Post, Middlesbrough are the latest club to be linked with Jermaine Beckford.

The striker is on the transfer list and has been linked with interest from City and now Middlesbrough.

However, there has only been one firm bid on the table and that has come from a League One club.

Beckford's agent Nick Rubery told the YEP: "On the basis that we've had one offer and he's now on the transfer list, it seems pretty likely that he'll be leaving before next season.

"It's a good offer from a League One club but the increase in wage was so insignificant that it gave us nothing to think about."

err its the offer he had to re-sign for Leeds. The one he has rejected.:dunce:

There has been NO bid.

His agent was quoted as saying: "It's a good offer from a League One club but the increase in wage was so insignificant that it gave us nothing to think about."

That was talking about LEEDS' contract offer.

This is FACT.

Don't really like being compared to Leeds, we haven't ripped off anything like as many people for a start. I would prefer Bloom to put his cash into Falmer so we don't end in a mess like so many clubs with new stadiums.

As for Beckford, he wouldn't come here, we couldn't match Leeds salaries by any means, welll not until we move into Falmer anyway.
