i guarantee you we wont sign beckford.
what does that last sentance mean?
Bloom, bloom, bloom, bloom, let me hear you say Mayo - Mayo!
i know bloom has money - though will wait to see what player money it might mean, but are you about to start blowing your wage structure to pieces? i have read plenty of times on here about wages at your club and i know you are on the dawn of a new era or whatever but beckford is on a significant weekly wage, and he wants more than that. so you need to be looking at £13k+ a week flat salary.
that is all irrelevant in the grand scheme of things though because your old friend bj has not sold brighton kindly at leeds and jamma wants to either go home or get more money at leeds and don't count a mystery person stumping up for his contract yet.
Is Tony Bloom already beginning to splash the cash? I can't really think who else in League One can afford him:
According to the Leeds Evening Post, Middlesbrough are the latest club to be linked with Jermaine Beckford.
The striker is on the transfer list and has been linked with interest from City and now Middlesbrough.
However, there has only been one firm bid on the table and that has come from a League One club.
Beckford's agent Nick Rubery told the YEP: "On the basis that we've had one offer and he's now on the transfer list, it seems pretty likely that he'll be leaving before next season.
"It's a good offer from a League One club but the increase in wage was so insignificant that it gave us nothing to think about."
