The ability to mirror Albion play-off performance is quite astonishing. And very depressing.Completely bottling it by look of things.
Zeqiri and Dreyer? It's all gone a bit Brighton over there.Good news for Union tonight with Anderlecht losing 2-1 at Genk. Andi Zeqiri scoring a 91st minute penalty to clinch it after Anders Dreyer's equaliser for Anderlecht.
A win for Union tomorrow, back to the top...defeat would send Union down to third with Genk only a point behind in fourth.
Such a bizarre system seeing that USG were 19 (nineteen) points ahead of Brugge at the end of the conventional season. No wonder they struggle so much as their numerical advantage is slashed for TV money and end of season excitement. Great for clubs doing the chasing, but reminds me of teams (hopefully Leeds next week) who finish the Championship in a closed third but get absolutely smashed in the play-offs.
Cup Final today I believe
Half time - 1-0 Union (Machida 45+1)
