fork me
I have changed this
Have you ever taken a walk down Boundary Road?
Yes thanks, I lived in Portslade for many years.
Now about that evidence...
Have you ever taken a walk down Boundary Road?
Laughable.i don't care about those stats, that just give cretins like you an excuse to be work shy. Go and generate you own jobs.
Ok, I'll do that if you can put forward some form of cogent reasoning behind "I think they should all receive the same: nothing, and be forced to get a job like normal people"
While you do, take into account the people who CAN'T work through sickness, the people (such as my next door neighbour) who are over 50, have been made redundant, and have little to no chance of getting back into work due to their age, people who would do pretty much anything just to get back into work.
It's sweeping statements made by pricks such as yourself that make my f***ing blood boil.
If people are able bodied they should get a finite amount of benefit in their lifetime, end of.

I sincerely hope is IS just you.hospital cleaning/maintenance ,civic buildings in general.........maintaining railway thoroughfares , licking golf courses clean ,litter picking up of, clearing seaweed off the beach........you can say they should get a living wage , what do you call a living wage........i worked 40 hours a week on a yts when i left school for 25 quid a week ..is that a living wage .... and that was f***ing 25 years ago . i think your rent paid and 80 quid a week is more than fair, but that's just me.
Laughable.
It is crazy that, under the new proposals, someone aged 24 that has worked full time since the age of 18, contributing taxation each month towards the housing benefit bill for a solid six years isn't entitled to claim from the pot if he is suddenly made redundant.
This is what you should have put in your original post, it's true. You were doing so well.
As I've said, obviously there are genuine cases but the ones that make my blood boil are those that simply have no intention whatsoever of earning an honest living. And I stick by my view that there is a sizable number of them. They don't deserve a penny, but unfortunately it seems difficult to sort them from the people in real need.
Fair play.
Perhaps my initial comment was a little sweeping, but the fact remains that this country allows people to take the piss. We're expecting our first child in October and because we both work we will get something like £20 a week Child Allowance. If we were on Job Seekers (that name's a joke, because it implies the recipient is actually looking for work), we would receive a free £500 grant in addition to all the other goodies such as increased benefits, milk vouchers etc.
Nice. How about you attempt to put forward a constructive argument rather than resort to pathetic name-calling just because you don't agree with something?
*** cough *** - a majority of people are on income related JSA meaning they only get it for six months but don't let the facts get in the way.
Yes, because you know all about me from two comments on this thread, don't you?
Perhaps my initial comment was a little sweeping,
I sincerely hope is IS just you.
Why should ANY job be worth less than minimum wage?
Let's just look at what you're suggesting. Make people clean and maintain hospital wage for their dole money. Now we don't need the real hospital cleaners and maintainance people so we put THEM on the dole as well making the problem even worse.
£25 a week for YTS was something I was opposed to as well, it was too low, but at least YTS schemes were SUPPOSED to be training towards a real job.
As I've said, obviously there are genuine cases
And then they cut their benefits to nothing? or do they give them a pointless, back to work interview and give them more cash?
So let me get this right - you want to remove all JSA across the board but you're quite willing to claim your child benefit DESPITE you both having jobs ? Hmmm ......
Which comment? I haven't even vaguely suggested that anything you've said in this post is reasonable.well , no i don't ....can only comment on what you have said( sorry for offending)........none of us had it given to us , it was shit 30 years ago as well .............at least if you are out and about doing something (work for the dole)you may meat a possible workmate ,buisness partner etc..........fork me's comment just hits the nail on the head , we have created a generation of well-fare livers........and we can't knock our own people back when we are serving up all the "NEWCOMERS"....massive f*** up .........just ask yourselves where is all the money coming from and how long can it last...??
