On the flip side its now acceptable again to dress as Hitler.
I knew it would come back into fashion.

Oh my word. I've always had a soft spot for Sarah Silverman. Her and a nice German uniform is the stuff of dreams.

It can't be offense because she is Jewish, right? Silverman's comedy is very much hit or miss (more miss these days).

Although, I often think Das Reich and Bushy (or whoever they post as these days) dress like this when posting on NSC.

Donald Trump is fostering a twenty-first century Nazi Reich.

I notice that you refer to pretty much any politics that you don't like as Nazi or fascist. Aside from showing you up as clueless politically (and you are, you really are) the words lose both their meaning and ability to shock when used so often. Trump may be many bad things but he's certainly not trying to foster a National Socialist revolution in the USA.

Agree. Good spot. Incredibly badly written piece. Call me old fashioned, but I like my journalism written by erudite insightful folk, who can entertain and inform. This reads like it was written by an 18 year old journalism student with language related learning difficulties (that justify getting an extra 30 minutes in an exam). Having language related learning difficulties is perfectly fine in my game (sciency wiency swearly worly things), but in journalism? It is not even written well enough to make me feel I'm being patronized. It seems the author simply doesn't know what to say about this, not even at a level of whether they think it is 'good' or 'bad'. This effort makes me think of the Pete and Dud sketch, with a one-legged Dud auditioning for the role of Tarzan. Deficient in insight to the tune of one . . . .:lolol:

how people are prepared to judge this man purely on nothing but a few wrong choice words is beyond me.. it is pathetic. and to compare this man to adolf hitler when he's not even in office yet::facepalm::.

hardly any fuss was made over bush & blair prior to their long reign..incidentally nothing but a pair of cold blooded murderers yet this poor fella gets it in the neck without committing a single atrocity..

seriously the mentality of some people, it is no wonder this world is in a state.

Eh wankers have been wearing t-shirts of Stalin, Mao and Che for years. If left wing tossers can wear their murderous heroes on their t-shirt freely shouldn't the other side be afforded the same courtesy to adorn themselves with their wankers fashion??

In fairness you do really have to judge a politician on their words, whether they are right or wrong or even a wrong choice of words.

Judging by what he has said and our standards he is a bit of a dick, but then i can see his appeal by what he has said to millions of Americans, many feel completely ostracised and ignored by the political class. You ignore mass feelings like this at your peril.

What he says or proposes though is not important, whats important is that his beliefs are democratically challenged and debated, shutting down his rally because you dont like what he is saying is fascism.I hope this is stamped out immediately in the US,these ideas cross the pond and before you know it vile twits like Weyman Bennett and his mental supporters will actually believe they have a mandate to shut down free speech and only hear what they want to believe, while at the moment they simply believe that happens to be the case anyway

Free speech is important and so is the right to protest.

I don't see why he is allowed to preach to the country on a daily basis that all mexican immigrants are rapists and all muslims should be deported, and yet protests against this are not allowed.

I didnt say protests should not be allowed, people should protest against him, but many of these protesters deliberately set out to have him silenced and shut down, that my friend is not democracy.

You can Protest about Trump, or more specifically his views, any time and in any place so why do it where hes holding a rally? Maybe if I object to your opinions I should hunt you down and take direct action?

Surely by having a jacket with 'Secret Service' on the front of it, it doesn't make you very secret?

makes you wonder how intelligent the person that tried to break the blatant secret service barrier is,"they cant be secret service, thats not very secret, they must work at Olive Garden"
