As im out of the country and the EDL is a 'new' organisation....ive had a look thru some youtube videos... so far, ive failed to see any black people as claimed earlier with them... also, can somebody explain to me why the 'sieg heil' salute seems so popular? Seeing as how they represent the ENGLISH ?

While the EDL (and any organization, for that matter, that fights Islamic supremacism) is smeared with slanderous accusations of racism with no proof and no evidence, true fascism and racism is sanctioned by the same media and political elite.
As a proud Jew and passionate Zionist, I have found the EDL to be a responsible, inclusive organisation fighting sharia law and Islamic supremacism in the UK.
Just this past weekend, the fascists (ironically named UAF, Unite Against Fascism), took to the streets, attacked police, and instigated violence against the EDL. And that was before the EDL had even shown up. 67 barbarians were arrested

Perhaps you are right Dave. Perhaps then the people who were most exposed to mass immigration and were poorly educated about it were in fact let down by the people that created the policies that led to it, by not preparing them for it adequately. Perhaps then charges of criminal negligence could be bought to those people who allowed this to happen and consequently the bombs that are no ones fault but British society's.
About a month ago, I was out on my usual lunchtime run and came across several hundred EDL people on a march.
As I carried on with my run, I noticed untold meat wagons and police at the houses of parliament. 5 or 600 EDL were marching to Houses of Parliament where 1 or 200 anti fascist types were there to meet them.
My thoughts:
* The EDL were twunts to a man. Every single one that I saw (and I ran on the opposite side of the road on the embankment) was white and a total f***ing chav.
* You can't take the EDL seriously for this precise reason. Political pressure groups will always be considered racist unless they are made up of a broad spectrum of the nation.
* The anti fascist types were crusty hippy workshy types to a man. I f***ing ask you, why BOTHER fronting these EDL marches? No-one takes them seriously - and even if we did, we have f***ing JOBS to do. Why not try it some time and try actually contributing to the society you seem to think you're protecting (but are simply costing a small fortune in police bills)
* And another thing, the number of helicopters and police required to man this march ws ridiculous - all because these anti fascists feel the need to react to these muppets.
So having seen it myself, both Dandyman and MK seagull are correct about their assertion of these people. Both sides are made up of the exactly the sort of twats you expect them to be made up of. And so is The Spanish to an extent - although how many suicide bombers have we seen since 1997? About 4 in a UK muslim population of a million or so?

No one wants the British public to hate muslims more than suicide bombers. They make the EDL look like f***ing Quakers. This is all a bit stating the obvious.
What I find amusing but annoying about this thread is a lot of this disgust with the EDL is the thinly veiled snobbery dressed up as politically anti stances. Its so predictably British. But then perhaps I should be celebrating that as a part of our culture that is very much alive. Wow suddenly its all looking rosy again!

It is very easy to smear people with labels and wild accusations. I entered this debate because I dislike sweeping statements and opinions which are presented as the author sees it as facts. The purpose of a forum is to debate and that is what I have done. For that, even having to play devil's advocate on occasions. I have typically been denounced as a "racist" and a "nazi". This is always the actions of the left when their views on certain issues are challenged.
The facts of the matter are that the EDL and the UAF have a right to protest in a democracy. They do not have the right to cause violent disorder, mayhem and attack each other, the police and innocent bystanders as has happened.
Personally, I support neither organization, but I do support democracy, lawful right of assembly and for people to impart their views and wishes as long as they are done so in a lawful fashion. The laughably named UAF seems to me to be the most similar organization to Hitler's Brownshirts in the way they pursue their political objectives by force!

blooody hell mate I know the vast vast majority in this country of all creeds just want a nice peaceful life. But 4 is too many. And it isnt just 4 by a long chalk. Desperation to normalise relations between communities should not lead to attempts to dismiss the problem through unsubstantiated figures. It wont work.

I saw a few of them at victoria station, I wondered what all that was about. The group of 20 or so that I saw just looked like a 90's football firm, lots of shaved heads and stone island jumpers.
I doubt it. I thought most suicide bombers are picked out specifically because they fit a cirtain mental profile which is easy to radicalise. I could be wrong though, mabye I've just watched too much 24.
