Travelling to games at Falmer

The Club are preparing transport plans for the new stadium. A questionnaire is being sent out to people who are thinking of buying a season ticket, inviting us to let the Club know what means of transport they anticipate using.

The point is made that "parking will be limited and, if available, expensive".

Bearing this in mind, which method of transport do NSC users anticipate using for SATURDAY games?

Train before the game. Highly dubious of getting one very easily after the game, so will probably end up walking.

I wonder if Roger French has thought about adding a football special service that runs up Dyke Road and takes you to Falmer.

The Club have to provide a certain number of P&R spaces within a a certain number of miles from the ground, although I am not sure that they've established the sites yet.

I'll be going by choochoo.

Quite possibly it will be a drive to Newquay airport, fly to Gatwick, then train.

If combining it with visiting friends and family, will either park and ride or train, depending on whether I've driven or flown back.

Like this season, my visits will be few and far between though, sadly.

Does the above "cycle" cover just pedal ? or include the motor option ?

Hopefully train, but I suspect I'll be sharpening my elbows as I'll be getting on at London Road station. Other than that, bike.

Will have to see how it all goes but pretty sure the train will be impossible, can even see them closing the station. Am planning on moving a bit closer so I can walk occassionally.

Will try driving to Lewes and catching the train from there - will tickets (as now) include a public transport element, also car parking at Lewes Station is no longer free so this will add to the cos?

Other option for me is direct bus service which passes within 5' or so of my house and passes the ground. Downside would be lack of toilets on bus and risk that return journey will be full up of those only going as far as Lewes. Perhaps B&H may run some "limited stop" special buses for residents of East Sussex's highest and most populous inland town and other places on the A26?

I suspect that arrangements will take a while to fully evolve to the satisfaction of all NSC'ers (well we can but hope)

Will there be any dedicated buses from Brighton/Hove or do we have to use the uni buses, no.25 I think?
If there are I'd use them if not probably train or drive to Mill Road P+R.
