Good questions.

Hopefully Train. Happy to arrive early and leave later if the beer is decent.

May experiment with pushbike
if it is secure parking.

Is that like saddle on or saddle off?

Imagine not, at the moment does seem anyone can walk up one of the buses hand in the ticket (or not if you are collecting from ground) and jump on. No check on who owns what car or anything

Next season there won't be a travel voucher so you'll have to pay on the P&R buses.

Thinking about evening midweek games, they are going to be a bit tight on time for me. I already have to leave the office 15 minutes early to get to a game at Withers and that just means getting off the train at Preston Park. Not sure how much earlier I'm going to have to leave to go into Brighton, then back out to Falmer on the train.

So why post an exact same poll on here?
A very specific reason, if you must know. And I'll come clean.

It's not an "exact same poll".

The Club's questionnaire EXCLUDES the option of "Car" - merely advising that parking will be "limited and, if available, expensive". As someone who has been doing transport planning for 35 years, I'm simply astonished by any travel survey that purports to be a useful predictor of travel behaviour that doesn't include car travel as an option.

The other thing we haven't yet been told is how much it will cost to use the bus, the train or the park & ride.

Train all the way, maybe the odd Taxi from central Brighton should I be there for pre-match beers.

Hopefully they will lay on coaches/buses direct from towns around Mid Sussex (Heath, Burgess Hill etc) and the cost covered if you buy one of those travel pass thingy-ma jigs.
Failing that it will have to be train although I just know it's going to be mad trying to get a train back.

Ok - car.

As a 1901 club member I'm entitled to half a parking space at the University.

Not sure who is going to use the other half though...

Also - now is the time the club or Southern should be pushing to get the local train service improved.

I hope their survey points them in that direction.

I already carried out this research on NSC last February, so the Club could have saved themselves a bunch of consultancy costs...
Interestingly, about 70% said they would travel by train and about 14% by private car.

Looks like not much has changed in the meantime...

We have. It's one pound per match.

Is that just for the P&R ? I would have thought Saver/CitySaver tickets will be valid on regular and football buses otherwise £3.70 for a daily ticket. Will Southern do a £1 return ticket from Brighton to Falmer ?

at home
car to the Esporta club, Pilates at 12:30 till 1:30, grab some lunch at the club and wander up to the ground, then wander back to the club after the game, and then get picked up around 6 ( unless the Mrs has stayed all afternoon in the Gym and Pool)
