Anyinsah, on form, was brilliant. Anyinsah off form was shit. But he has some of the most important qualities you need to succeed, and he's still quite young, so as long as he didn't cost loads I'd be happy with him.
Anyinsah was only "on form" when the game was stretched or he could run in behind, he's not a skilful or clever player, just big and quick. Would be a useful impact player but as far as building a squad for the Championship I'm not convinced he's any more worthwhile than Jake Robinson.

All sounds good to me.

My one complaint with Johnson is that he doesn't look like he cares. He's undoubtedly a very good footballer, and I think he would be even better in a more successful team, so if we could get him permanently it would be fantastic because the 'commitment' issue would disappear. To me, he's a good example of what is wrong about loans, but get him permanently and I'll be excited.

The Richards/Mayo thing is a worry, because I think we all know Mayo isn't up to it. Mind you, Richards hasn't been much better. I'm now thinking the best option might be to find a new left-back, but that's probably not top of our list of priorities.

Oh, and there better not be a new goalkeeper, because in my opinion we've already got two fantastic ones!

I agree about Anyinsah. Also agree with what others have said about him being an impact player.

I hope you're right about Johnson as Adams appears really keen to get him here anyway he can. Could be on a long loan, and I wouldn't be too keen on that at all. I don't like singling out players for heavy criticism, but Johnson has really wound me up at the last few games at Withdean :censored:

I'd be happy to see Richards sign permanent.

Totally agree with you about our keepers too. If it ain't broke, don't fix it, and like you say, that's the least of our worries.

Carlisle away.

Livermore was good.

Johnson was shite, as usually seems to be the case.

Trouble with Johnson is he seems to think he's above rolling up his sleeves and fighting for the cause.

Great shot on him, and undoubtedly skillful at this level, but bottles every tackle and the hardest he works is to race to get the ball to tee it up for any free kick within 30 yrds of goal.

Yeah.
For me, he offers nothing but his striking ability.

Richards Wages

Supposedly he is on ridiculous money and especially for a player of his current ability and not saying he is a poor player but for an average league one player it is a lot of money. The problem being however that when he signed for Ipswich as their new left back he was an England Under 21 Player hence the mad money as it showed his big potential that was expected of him. Then along came a replacement in Harding and Richards became the number two and when it did not work out for Harding he soon became lower down the pecking order but still on his original deal.

Personally I dont think Richards would be a bad acquisition but not worthy of breaking the playing budget. The big problem I hear continuously is the role of Agents that lets face it have not always got the players best interest at heart.

As for players leaving I can only say this from my heart and not through any sources but I do believe Robinson will leave, with Loft and I guess some of the younger players whether initially on loan or permanent. I would have thought Fraser would have been one of those but his performances in the last few matches have given the club food for thought.

Whatever happens one thing I can say in confidence is that the club are working extremely hard to overhaul the team and they have a lot of business they are trying to do. Only time and with fingers crossed will we see the results.

Personally I would love to see us getting Paul Wooton as on a free transfer he is a quality player proven at this level with captaincy experience. From what I have been told is he is a mix of Rodgers and Oatway and is exactly what we need in the middle of the park.

On a final point the Scout that was at the match between Aldershot and Dagenham and Redbridge was I believed to be looking at a Dagenham player not an Aldershot player? Have no idea who it was but maybe some of you may have an inkling?

Anyhow again good to read all the comments etc as sure an interesting time!

Cheers
