f*** me, sounds like they love Hammond as well.

Not sure how I feel about that deal. Gillespie always looked brilliant for Cheltenham, but obviously has been a huge disappointment there. Not too bothered about Cox going, but I love Elphick and its only been about a month since his contract was extended.

Im convinced the combine values of Cox and Elphick equate to that of Gillespie either, how much did they buy him for? Id imagine his valuation has dropped since then as well.

Also, if he was bought to replace a departing Murray I would be distraught to lose him as well as the other two.

edit: forgot to say, for what its worth, sounds like bollocks anyway.

f***ing hell, you don't half get some absolute shit on there

f***ing hope so but the signings of parker wotton and birchill all make this seem more likely, remember how well cox played against colchester and how well Gillespie always plays when down in brighton. I really hope this isn't true though because it will surely mean tghe end of Muray!

Gillespie was a target pre season which leaves the door wide open for Murray's exit.

BBC 606 is second only to YouTube when it comes to blatant stupidity in the comments boxes.

If it was to happen I would think that it would be a straight swap Cox for Gillespie or Elphick for Gillespie + cash. I belive that potentially Cox is as good as Gillespie and Elphick is a lot better.

The same Elphick, I assume, who has just been offered an extension to his contract to keep him here until at least 2012? I know contracts can be over-ridden, but Elphick is someone who the club is very keen to keep hold of and nurture.

What the f*** are the Colchester fans thinking of when they reckon we would be GIVING him away to them? Oh, per-f***ing-lease... :thud:

EXCELLENT news about Elphick.

Cox has attracted a lot of attention from (to quote Dean Wilkins) 'several clubs' over the past couple two or three years. Possibly two or three things put other clubs off acquiring him...

1. He REALLY wants to stay here and play at Falmer.
2. He is under contract, and some clubs may consider a fee a bit of a risk especially when
3. He has been an awkward indisciplined git on the training ground, though that may (or may not) have dissipated under Micky Adams.

Still prefer Cox over Fleetwood, though by the way he is improving, hopefully it won't be long before I could happily say I'd prefer Cox AND Fleetwood. Cox is one of those on the pitch that is always looking for the ball (more than can be said of some of our players), and while his touch does desert him a little too frequently at present, when it does work, some of his play can be excellent.

Big fan of the little sod.
