I know that being my first post on here I am not sure who will take this seriously but from what I have heard the following is going on but I am afraid none of them is a great surprise.

The club has been in discussions even today with the Agent for Joe Anyinsah about making a permanent move to the Albion, however guess no real shock on that one.

Secondly The Club have also had discussions with Charlton about Stuart Fleetwood who they are looking to sign permanently or at least have him on loan till the end of the season.

Thirdly an approach has been made to Leeds United about signing Brad Johnson permanently however as reported on the Argus etc he is going to chat with Grayson first before a decsion will be made but from what I have heard there is a good 75% chance this may become a permanent deal by the end of next week but does depend on Grayson. Brighton have been given first refusal.

Regarding Matt Richards the reason both sides have been polite about this is that Matt Richards is very keen to stay at Brighton as has settled in well and Brighton do want him, however we are only currently paying him a third of his wages which are already near the top end of the budget that Dick Knight will pay to a player and his agent has said will Matt would be stupid not to just stay at Ipswich till the end of the season where he can earn a lot more than playing at Brighton, discussions are on going. A loan is not likely as Ipswich want to off load him and I dont believe they are looking for a fee but the Agent supposedly is playing hard ball. We know from experience Knight is no fool to this behaviour!! Other options being considered is that Mayo is nearing full fitness and could play till the end of the season but will inevitably be released by the club.

As again mentioned in previous articles etc the club are looking to offload 5 -7 players but dont know the names but again discussions are happening at present.

There are also discussion but could not find out the names of two more players that Brighton are hoping to sign on a permanent basis but again surprise surprise Agents have been demanding too much.

Finally there have been no offers for Murrey at this stage and the Player himself and the Board have no intention of selling him as they are looking to build a team that will take us into the Championship as not like before but a team that could fight its case in the Championship as well.

Anyhow I am sorry there is no really big revelation but I would rather say what I have been told than say Ronaldo is being signed along with Rooney etc.

Thanks chaps and chapesses for making this board a good laugh and I am more one for reading posts than writing them but hope this genuine brief note helps:)

Take care and Happy New Year to all.

Welcome, and thanks - although as you say all will be taken with a pinch of salt as it's your first post ;)

Regarding Mayo; over the last several seasons he's been left out until January, and then come in and looked a lot better in the second half of the season. In particular last year; he was fantastic at Leeds and where I was (in the home end) all around me were saying he was the best player on the park and they would sign him! Could the same happen again this year??

Apologies

Had not realised that a lot of this was in the open domain but I do agree that players like Anyinsah and Fleetwood are not to me inspiring although as probably mentioned on the Radio Paul Wooton is looking a certainty but just a slight concern about his slight injury.

Thank you also for the welcome as I dont know maybe what I have let myself in for as I am incredibly proud to be a Brighton Supporter and maybe too passionate for the good of ones health but this site is fantastic but can only be this way because of those that use it so a big thank you to everyone for making it a website that many friends of mine supporting other clubs are very envious!!!

Cheers and will try harder to get some better news!!:)

All the best

Thanks for your knowledge.

I really can't see what Dick is up to in buying players that have won us just a few points and seem to be offloading players that won us alot of points last season.

All seems a shambles if you ask me - probably a distraction technique by Dick to get fans off his back.

I assume the likes of fringe players? Chamberlain was one, I assume?

Yes i am assuming also but thinking more along the lines of Adams will ditch as many Wilkins players as possible because he could have told Dick let me have my own team.
I only hope Dick said your jobs is to improve this year with what you have barring the odd addition then next year you can clear out and have your own squad assuming the result have been going right.

Which unfortunately they have not.

Because if we buy them they will probably give more of a shit as it will be there club and there reputations on the line.
