I believe EMT trains should still run to Luton that day so those travelling from London should be ok. @jackalbion ?
I theory yes, but don’t know their plans currently, they have on occasion got scared about overcrowding and not run in a similar situation. I expect services will be VERY busy.

Why not? Surely the Police will object to trouble kicking off al over the City and would rather contain the away fans in the train special?
Well you might as well speculate then and get everyone in a panic. Let’s be honest there hasn’t been “chaos” in the city and running battles for years and having visited Europe palace fans are all a bit all bark no bite, the police should, police the game and keep fans apart, it’s not outside the realms of possibility, they haven’t had a special to the game for a very long time, only home and nothing has kicked off other than a couple of videos of the invisible wall brigade on “casual ultras” Twitter pages.

I hope the Palace match gets moved to a non strike day. I cant even understand why they are striking. The government wont budge and rightly so. Real shame gor fans that have Luton tickets.

I wonder how many on here are thinking of not going now ?
A lot of hassle and money for the 5 loyalty points
There is that, but if you leave early enough on edit Tuesday you get to sight see around Luton a bit beforehand, so swings and roundabouts.

What a f***ing awful thing to say.
What do you think of the other comments insinuating the drivers get enough, it seems the natives aren’t as supportive as they were when this clusterfuck started!

Btw, regarding what he said about whelan under a train I totally agree with you, I often thought the same when people said similar about Thatcher.

Such are the times we live in these days, if you made that comment directed against an MP or a high-status public servant, you'd probably get a visit from the police. Probably safe with a trade union leader though
I think this is the problem with this country, we seem to have just lost complete and utter respect for our fellow man. These particular strikes have ruined my travel plans, and I think we have reached an impasse personally. But ffs have some respect for other people Jesus, what a horrid thing to say.

It's fair enough. People are rightly frustrated. But calling for someone to be "under a train" is appalling.

I would normally have gone by train but just bought a Seagull Travel coach ticket. Its £35 - pick up from the Amex. (and a few other places )

Because the game is less than 3 weeks away. Tickets have been bought. Arrangements have been made.

Pulling the rug on that a little over 2 weeks in advance would be a proper arsehole move, on both sets of fans.

Maybe this is me being a bit entitled and asking for stuff for free, but with the relatively small allocation and short trip, this would be a really nice opportunity for the club to reward some of its most dedicated fans with some free coach travel?
You answered your own question I'm afraid.

Yeah maybe it was, just remember a few times we’ve had free coaches put on for some games (Norwich Away after promotion). Just see other clubs do it on occasion, Palace are doing it for their replay at Everton.

Sack 'em all if they don't want to work. They'll have honest people queuing up for their easy money, sit on your arse jobs. The worst thing they have to deal with is hosing the occasional jumper off the front of their carriage
