As if no trains isn't bad enough, I've checked out the scheduled road closures and the M25-}M23 junction is closed from 2200 so that usually means a slow crawl down Reigate Hill and A23 to Gatwick🤬
Once when there was a diversion like this, ST coach driver left the M25 at Leatherhead to take the A24. Somehow we missed a turning and ended up in a country lane with the bushes scraping down either side. We then had to do a turn at the bottom with inches to spare.
