I know it's only a stat, but our xG On Target was 3.85. You would never expect a keeper to only make routine saves and still keep that down to 1Didn't make any saves that i wouldn't expect him to make! Just bad finishing today!
Worth watching the highlights. There were a few. The one from Adingra at the near post when still 0-1 was an incredible reflex save.Must have been watching a different match, one good save from Mitoma, was there others? They seemed all very easy otherwise.
Yep, who'da thunk that putting good shot-stoppers in goal would pay dividends!Yes loads of keepers look good against us.
It's almost like it's not just bad luck
The Mitoma one at the end was a special save. Were any of the saves particularly outstanding? A very good performance but the finishing was poor in my view, Ferguson had a bit of a mare particularly with the cutbacks Mitoma was providing second half, he should have been on the end of one of them
I'd take a guess that last time we won a game by one goal there was a good save that would otherwise have given away two points.By contrast when was the last time we had an incredible goalkeeping performance that rescued undeserved points for us?
This. The only one of our 29 efforts on goal directed to a bottom corner of the goal (not even that close to the post) went comfortably in.Didn't make any saves that i wouldn't expect him to make! Just bad finishing today!
OK - two particularly good saves, as opposed to the five identified by Warren. But even those two saves stopped us winning 3-1.I can think of two particularly good saves. Everything else was pretty mundane. We didn't challenge him nearly enough for his performance to rank up there with the best.
Ben Foster? That keeper who always played a blinder against us - about three games in a row. Can't remember his name now! Was it for Stoke?
Yes - that's him. Thank you - I spent most of dinner time trying to remember his name, all I could come up with was Ben Roberts, and I knew it wasn't him!Ben Foster?
