Watching the ITV4 coverage. I don't think I've ever seen so many charity adverts. Is this just a daytime TV thing? Or are cycling fans particularly charitable?

Also, adverts for Love Island. I don't imagine the venn diagram for Tdf fans and Love Island fans has a very big overlap.

Bit dusty in here. I appear to have something in my eye.

That is all.

I am absolutely made up for Cav. What a finish. One of the absolute top tier of British sportsmen of all time.

I can say it now without jinxing it.... Cav kicks off another fairytale day of sport and sets us up a treat to finally beat them there Germans.

Marvellous scenes!

I reckon that's just posturing to try to prevent others doing the same. Sure they could have apprehended her at the time if they were serious. But we'll see.

I like what Prudhomme said.... If people want to look at themselves they should look in the mirror :lolol:

Also liked the cardboard sign right at the back of the crowd on a little climb yesterday....Fvck off Opi & Omi.

Looks like I was wrong on the posturing. Appears they've now arrested her and will be charging her.

Fair play. Sets an example and hopefully work as an even stronger deterrent to others.

Obviously we're all charitable and generally more wholesome than the people of the car.

If I didn't have a heart of stone and all the empathy of a table Enoch would have had some cash off me by now.
That said Enoch must be about 20 now.

The other day whoring for my cash was a kitten called Paul.
That's just bang out of order, I wouldn't be at all surprised if his actual name was fluffy but they called him Paul, just to get my money.

Eurosport Player is your friend. Absolute bargain price for the year if you watch a lot of cycling. Pretty much any race with TV coverage, they have it, and all ad free.

Only fly in the ointment is the Carlton Kirby show, but all the other commentators are fine.

I do actually like the ITV4 coverage. I think Ned et al do a good job (although I'm less keen on the other commentator who gets a turn in the middle of a long stage). I don't have a particular problem with the adverts either, I just can't believe how many charity ones there are! It's better than being bombarded with betting adverts at least.

I'm already paying for a VPN to watch UK channels, so I'm not going for the Eurosport route. The only other option to watch it here is to pay an annual subscription to FloSport. I'm not going to watch enough cycling to justify that.

Don't diss Matt Rendell, the guy is a legend.

Mad as a bag of spanners.
