Splendid political response.

It was a simple question that possibly needed just a simple yes or no answer.

But how was it relevent to a statement about Momentum being politically extreme?

Not sure that's in any way true. What usually happens is that the far right drags the debate so far right that moderates appear to be 'Extreme' left..and of course visa versa! Also Momentum are not particularly extreme left, just labelled that way so that people are wary of their views. They are mainly advocates for social justice and equality. Ideals that should be mainstream not feared, but then we do have a vested interest in our media to portray Momentum as dangerous!

I am deeply sympathetic with your views and probably share a number of political views, however a left of centre socialist Government is highly unlikely to win a majority in this country. .

You can blame the media all you like, but when left of centre MPs start calling each other "comrade" and use the word "solidarity" they've lost half the room in this country.

That's why the Tories were able to scoop up so many traditional Labour voters at the last election.

Just as the current administration have taken us back to the 1980s, the Labour party under Corbyn did too.

I'm just hoping that someone can take us away from the 2020s*

Is that actually true?

Gods country fortnightly
1997 will look like a walk in the park compared to what is going to happen to the tories in 2024

Truss will win and in 2 years time after 300 years of being the 1st or 2nd party the tories will be obliterated and will split into a right wing and the more liberals will form a new party

And I for one can’t wait

Shhhh….if we carry on like this the Tory members will realise how useless she is

Yes especially on social media, but that doesn't bother me and neither does the term "Marxism" which are generally misunderstood.

Unfortunately they are an open goal to an older small c

If you speak to older voters (which I do) they have started talking about the Labour party of 1970/80s (and their fears) completely forgetting they got bored of Thatcher and Major and elected Blair for years.

Report suggests we should be paying to stay in NHS hospitals. Slightly ignoring the fact that we do pay to stay in hospital. Taxes.

https://www.theguardian.com/politic...r-hospital-stays-to-help-fund-nhs-says-report

Step by step.....

Although we must acknowledge the elephant in the room. That being that the country is in unsustainable debt and that politicians keep adding to it because they want to be elected.

The population is ageing and the NHS is creaking. It's easy to go ra ra ra for likes, but not so easy to face the problem.

My belief is that there needs to be a huge spending review and major cuts in government spending.

It's how that is done and where the priorities are (no £200m royal yachts...). The ill and vulnerable should be top of the priority list. The only question I would ask is whether or not the NHS is providing some services it wasn't intended for (i.e things a proper community would be doing amongst itself). It's a tough one. But I'm certainly not in favour of charging for hospital stays.

I tend to take a more Socialist view of tax and spending. But I do know this country is spending what it doesn't have- and a future generation will be poorer for it.

The 10K+ banana republicans that want some hocus pocus leadership shenanigans. ???

The nepotism of the Johnson family extends to LBC, where Rachel has her own programme, and broadcasts to the country.
It's the entitlement that gets to me.

In the meantime, the females in the Tory party are falling out. I think Liz Truss wouldn't thank Nadine for this endorsement.

Why does she care what they wear?

Let's face it we've just had three years of Boris Johnson and he certainly didn't care what he wore. Or wear anything with care.

And he was Nadine's superhero.

It's not as if Sunak even wears earrings.

Isn't it considered bad form to discuss the prices of items?
