Nailed it
They would start by making higher income people pay some higher tax surcharge to try and get the public on side. But this is a trogan horse and the beginning of the end for the NHS.I think we will see “priority waiting rooms” in NHS hospitals and suchlike en route to total privatisation. Reserved for those with private health insurance held with insurance companies owned by the Tory’s and their chums.

Tories want to introduce a law to essentially make it illegal to strike.
They know it will get kicked out of the Lords, but that's what they want, another culture war, another wedge issue, got nothing left in the tank
That's a nice thought.Boris erased from history
Don't tell me Grant Shapps erased him as well?Whatever happened to ‘right behind Boris‘ ? Mouldy Boots I think he called himself. He must be incensed…..
The Tory’s are pulling a fast one but in a slightly different way from what you describe.Tories want to introduce a law to essentially make it illegal to strike.

I wonder how long the NHS would last if all staff implemented their own "minimum service agreement", ie just work the hours they're paid forThe Tory’s are pulling a fast one but in a slightly different way from what you describe.
Unions and workers already have minimum service policies in place. For example the NHS strikes, cancer and other vital, time sensitive treatments go ahead, ambulance’s prioritise cardiac arrests etc.
Even on train strike days you can get a train if you plan ahead.
The Tory’s are just trying to groom voters by making out they are coming up with this solution themselves.
It’s more Tory bullshit.
Yes, it almost beggars belief, but I've seen reports in serious newspapers that Johnson's supporters will be plotting to undermine Sunak this year in order to prepare for another Johnson premiership, which they are convinced will win them the 2024 general election by retaining the Red Wall voters (who don't like Sunak's skin-colour and ethnic background).Sounds like the Boris supporters are starting to push to get their man back into number 10. What a time to be alive.
Tories automatically condemn every strike by workers as 'militant' 'reckless', 'irresponsible', 'Communist-inspired', and 'greedy', and always respond by announcing more anti-strike or anti-union laws, which the Tory press cheer to the rafters.Tories want to introduce a law to essentially make it illegal to strike.
