I could certainly vote for him.

Common sense, centre ground politics.

Listening to him and Alistair Campbell on their podcast shows us what we are currently missing in British politics.

We need a new Party - and it is possible - look at Macron in France - he completely changed the dynamics of French Politics.

From unstable to.....? ???

I'm not sure that an Italian-style shit-festival is necessarily the best direction for us Brits, even if the Ffrench have decided pourquoi, pas putain ?

As much as I like Rory Stewart I don't think he's right as a leader. He's got a few quirks, he's already admitted smoking opium which I don't have a problem with personally but that's the sort of thing that can follow you around forever in politics, I dare say there's some more skeletons to be found.

His skillset is made for foreign secretory, but I think he'd be great as home secretary also - the home office has been going downhill ever since Blunkett left!

I saw Dave interviewed recently. His withering wit and insight seemed to be intacto. Bless him.

Private Eye bit tasty this week...

I thought Bojo wanted to give Carrie a job or was it the other way round?

It's no wonder he thought all those parties were 'work events' if this is the sort of thing he considers to be a normal part of a working day!

Anybody still think that Johnson will get booted out?

Yes because eventually MPs will wise up and realise the strategy of dividing and conquering the electorate is a short term game.

It's all about staying in power until the numbers don't stack up. Nothing to do with morality and fitness to hold office.

However, much will depend on what happens over "beer gate" though, because that will give them breathing space if Starmer resigns.

I don’t believe Johnson can win another election. Therefore he will as that is what the Conservatives prioritise over everything. Power trumps loyalty for them. When I don’t know, but it will happen.

If Starmer resigns then won't the pressure on Boris just mount? What an absolute shower this really is

From the Guardian article: Another said Pincher had only been given his role because of his loyalty helping run Johnson’s “shadow whipping operation” in the spring to shore up support.

Pincher? Whipping? What's next?

There is an awful lot of money to be made, in the disbursement of the taxpayers' tythe to the consultants, start ups and other chancers, before the GE. If the conservative and unionist charlatans lose, they will simply have more time to spend with their money.
