If he wins, how do you think he'd celebrate?

Humble thanks to loyal friends, genuine promise to do better, instant review of policy and culture?

Or a vat of sparkling wine, vintage red, single malt, a chorus of Voulez Vous and throwing Carrie into the Thames?

There will be a reshuffle to promote MPs based on loyalty rather than competence. In addition, those party donors who backed him can expect knighthoods and guaranteed protection from any legislation that would reduce their power or wealth (which you’d expect to vastly increase).

That’s how Johnson works.

Abba, Winner takes it all.

Or Queen, We are the Champions.

Along with enough cheese, wine, various other booze and cocaine to sink the Titanic.

I think Titanic will join the celebration and prove unsinkable...

Lots of booze while he draws up his vindictive sackings list.

Both. The first a proper mea culpa in the public eye, the second a little later and out of camera range. Job's a good 'un.

Watching his defenders tonight

'He got the big decisions right' is obviously what's come out from number 10 today.

Six words and there's three syllables in there. It's almost as if he's panicking, over complicating it and missing his target audience completely :dunce:

It's 8 o'clock and the vote is now CLOSED. If you are reading this tomorrow, your vote will not count, but you may still be charged (especially if you voted against Boris).

While the votes are being counted, there will now be a celebration of past Prime Ministers who underwent a vote of no confidence. Theresa, take it away!

It's also another lie.

“Ooh, ooh
Yeah, yeah
I'm in the mood for dancing, romancing
Ooh I'm giving it all tonight
I'm in the mood for chancing
I feel like dancing
Ooh so come on and hold me tight”

I'm still SO confused about this, Shirley Labour want BoJo to remain in power so Sir Korma can stroll the next election.

Or are they concerned he might turn it around?

Tbh it’s win-win either way imo.

Johnson is a MASSIVELY horrendous **** and deserves to be booted out so if he is, that will be enjoyable to see, and a good moment for democracy and English politics - a moment all of us here on NSC can enjoy, a glimmer of happiness in the shitstorm that the last 6 years of politics have been.

However, if he clings on that probably helps the likelihood of the Tories losing the next election. So all good whatever.

I don’t think Labour have said anything today, have they?

The best result for Labour is that Johnson squeaks it. He’ll cling on, the party will be split and the public will have been reminded of everything just as the Government might have hoped it’d all be washed away in bunting and coronation chicken sandwiches.

I think we all know he's toast.

It's whether he causes any damage in his exit strategy or does a Thatcher and falls on his sword.
