Haven't read all the comments today but what strikes me as bizarre is that the scum Johnson thinks it is perfectly acceptable (and, for some reason, part of his job) to have drinks to say goodbye to a colleague and thank them for their service but it wasn't ok for families to say goodbye to lost love ones whom they would never see again and have a drink to celebrate their life!!!

I can't even imagine any act that johnson could do for which he would resign. He is bereft of morals as are all the sycophantic morons that grin sitting behind him.

It's frightening that, of 360 MPs, there aren't 54 MPs that have the integrity and courage to write a letter to the 1922 committee!

Not just part of his job, it's a sign of leadership. He said so in the Commons, so it must be true ...

The Fixed Term Act was repealed in March 2022.

It received Royal Assent on 24 March 2022, and its provisions came into force on Royal Assent. The Dissolution and Calling of Parliament Act 2022 repealed the Fixed-term Parliaments Act 2011 (FTPA) and made the maximum term of a Parliament (rather than the period between general elections) five years.28 Mar 2022

They did it when they thought it would suit them and undid it when they thought it might not.I

It's a minor example of their scumbaggery but scumbaggery none the less.

The threshold on the letters needed to force a vote is 54 and the numbers are estimated to be about 50 by those close to it, so not far off if a few wake up tomorrow and rethink

Brighton factually.....

And that is the big issue….

He should man up and feckin walk, and if the Conservative party don’t give a vote of no confidence, they will lose the voters for a long time.
Disgusting behaviour from a so called leader, he has no moral compass and thinks we the public are as thick and gormless as himself.

I'm sure that Is it PotG? will have yet another of his witty one line responses for this post

Certainly not.

I find the idea of Johnson consuming canapés and Starmer munching Madras during such scenarios extremely distasteful and offensive.

On a similar note, a friend of ours responded to something I’d posted on Facebook yesterday: “I’m really angry. When we said goodbye to Dad, all we were able to do was stand around in a Crematorium car park. We should have said it was a leaving do”.

Her 90 year old father had died from COVID in his care home after it was introduced there by another patient being discharged from hospital back there without being tested.

How he can countenance saying that it was “appropriate” to say goodbye and have leaving do’s is unbelievable, and shows what a devious and uncaring £#*& he really is.

West is BEST
We no longer enjoy a democracy in the U.K.

We live in a totalitarian state. Ruled over by liars and cheats.

I intend to oppose this. By any means necessary.

I see the government looking to subsidise sky high energy bills because of the failure of capitalism, but "socialism doesn't work"

Stealing the idea of windfall taxes from the guy they call "Captain hindsight"

With hindsight perhaps they should change his name to "Captain foresight" ???
