With hindsight perhaps they should change his name to "Captain foresight" ???

i've always found the nickname ridiculous especially when he was demanding we locked down earlier in Dec 2020, Johnson delayed and apparantly 1/3rd of Covid deaths happened from people who caught it in the 2nd wave i.e. Dec 2020

And that is the big issue….

He should man up and feckin walk, and if the Conservative party don’t give a vote of no confidence, they will lose the voters for a long time.
Disgusting behaviour from a so called leader, he has no moral compass and thinks we the public are as thick and gormless as himself.

Utter, Utter Tw@t
Ah but, Jeremy Corbyn wore the wrong coat to a Rememberance Commemoration......

Joking aside, we really are I'm a dangerous position now. Our constitution is based on many rules which were " Unwritten " and formed in a time where Christian morality and honour held sway.. just as the Founding Fathers of the US could not imagine the rise of Trump or the obscenity of the current worship of guns so British politics was not designed for someone with flexible morals such as Johnson.

We live in a time when an MP, even under parliamentary privilege, will be barred from the chamber for calling a fellow member a liar, yet a proven liar can stay in office as there is not the power to remove them except by the result of an election, or the demands of the liars own party.

So, a compliant Tory Party goes along with the lies and misdeeds of its leader and tries to ignore their own conscience in the hope that they keep Johnsons favour and that something " turns up " that will justify their inactions later.

The Daily Mail front page today underlines this perfectly.

And there you have it. You can't help yourself can you?

You are right. He’s incontinent in both comments and thumbs up. It’s mildly entertaining sometimes but it also displays an extreme emotional intelligence deficit. Thumbs up please….

We no longer enjoy a democracy in the U.K.

We live in a totally free democratically elected totalitarian state.
Ruled over by liars and cheats, who were voted into power by the electorate.

I intend to oppose this. By any means necessary.
Sorry to cramp your style, on a Thursday morning, but thems the facts.

why aren't more Tories coming out and ganging up on Johnson? The party needs to turn on him, he isn't a true conservative. They need to be brave and bring the party back to the centre right. There doesn't seem to be any obvious candidates, shame Rory Stewart left, maybe Jeremy Hunt?

I think it has to be a Borisite otherwise the brexit bandwagon collapses

thats how our undemocratic system works. Those tory voters in the heartlands vote for their decent Tory candidate but that then endorses Johnson.

How many Tory voters would still vote for a Boris led Party despite hating him and wanting a more Cameron / May style centre right conservative government?

I'd suggest most of them will.

The only reason we last had a Labour Government was because they were Tory-lite.
Our choices are:-

- Governed by Tories.
Or
- Governed by not quite Tories, while the Tories have a rest.

There's no way anybody could have foreseen a depiffel lead government being a quagmire of lies, self serving deceit, death and racism, no way at all....

People foresaw it and voted for it. Just like before that they constantly voted for pain and misery under austerity.

I just don't get why? Most people obviously like it.

When do you get to vote them in again?

In a couple of years time.

The only MP missing from the next conservative government will be Michael Fabricated - that'll learn them.

Certainly not.

I find the idea of Johnson consuming canapés and Starmer munching Madras during such scenarios extremely distasteful and offensive.

I realise you’re famous for this, but what Starmer did IN NO WAY equates to the multiple, continuous and callous partyings of the scunner Johnson.

I'm expecting any post-covid inquiry into the handling of covid by Boris to be damning when it comes to the Christmas 2020 lifting of restrictions for Christmas day. From the governments own website:

covid weekly.png

I've marked the week of Christmas. Look what happens to the number of deaths 2 weeks later (these are deaths where covid is on the death certificate, and they are recorded by the actual date of the death). Boris has a lot to answer for.

You appear to have missed the crux of depiffel's tenure.

Good try, but I fear you are writing into a void..... there is no mind so locked and bolted as a mind predisposed in Johnson's favour.....

All those in the safe seats, there won't be enough swing to vote them out, there may be lab / lib dem / green pacts where one party doesn't put up a candidate. Problem is left choice is diluted whereas there is no real right wing alternative. If you count all votes for left parties and right parties, the left have a higher proportion. So the country is slightly left leaning but we end up with far right government

Steve Barclay gets the "defend the indefensible" stint on Radio 4 today.

Everything Johnson touches turns to ash.

When Johnson finally, finally, finally goes there will be so many who have defended his constant lies left with nothing but ruined reputations.

But about the national titles?

Can anyone imagine if Labour had engaged in some crimes how these rabid titles would react? They are so complicit, over and over again...

Yep, Barclay was pulling on all his media training there to avoid answering any questions. Highly frustrating, but if that’s what Barclay wants to be known for, so be it.

Johnson has destroyed the last remnant of the one essential quality that politicians should rely on: trust.

If there’s a National emergency tomorrow, I won’t be listening to any Tories.
