Boris Johnson has been sent a questionnaire by Scotland Yard over alleged parties in Downing Street, in a move that could raise fresh concerns among Tory MPs about his leadership.
Earlier this week, Scotland Yard explained its approach and the role the questionnaire would play.
It said the document “asks for an account and explanation of the recipient’s participation in an event” and “has formal legal status and must be answered truthfully”.

“Nevertheless, if following an investigation, officers believe it is appropriate because the Covid regulations have been breached without a reasonable excuse, a fixed penalty notice will normally be issued. So WHEN Johnson is proven to have lied to the Police, does something FINALLY happen then?!

I thought the Met were suggesting this investigation was going to cost about £1m. For that I would have expected two detectives to interview each of the 50 or so involved. This new method of Police investigation is going to result in a very dull series of 24 hours in Police Custody!!
Seems it's almost contrived to give the 50 the opportunity to collude to ensure they all give the same story, apart of course from Mr Cummings!!!

All he has to do is find a lawyer willing to lie on a legal document...Earlier reports were that Johnson was going to employ a lawyer to answer the questionnaire. So, he'll then blame the lawyer for 'mis-speaking' if his account is disproven. Seem to recall Trump doing something similar.....
Mind you - he has a week now to try and remember all his lies and work out which ones contradict each other!

He knows that once he hands it in the photos will be released proving his answers were another pack of lies.Early reports coming in that the prime minister has got his pencil case out and started to fill in the questionnaire, Stanley has been seen entering number 10 to help his son with his homework.
Good job that he has a pencil and a rubber because he has already been advised that in the part where it says name, you have to put your real name and not a made up one.
Rub it out and start again Prime Minister.
My guess is he won't even hand it in claiming that the dog ate it.
