Given numerous countries did far better than the UK when it came to securing PPE, it would appear there was little benefit using the UK approach.
Is Jenrick clinically insane?
What does he plan to do for an encore? Put the sanding extension on his Black and Decker and sandpaper his own bollocks, at maximum RPM?
This would be an interesting test for the planned new law preventing political figures from also working as news presenters (if you can call GB News “news”)

Maybe Jenrick never wanted to win, and expected to lose to Cleverly if he made the final 2, and only wanted to boost his profile. This could be Kemi's stance too so maybe she will counter by announcing she will appoint Johnson as head of party ethics.
And Truss as Shadow Chancellor, despite the fact that, like Boris and JRM, she’s no longer an elected member.

Well the Tories have a started a tradition now of appointing unelected ex-Prime Ministers to key cabinet positions.
I’m expecting David Cameron to reappear again in a shadow cabinet reshuffle and booted off to the foreign office, for William Hague to be appointed to T&I and why not wheel out John Major for Shadow Chief Secretary to the Treasury and Truss’s deputy …

I don't think Johnson has done either of those things, even if you separate the 2 scenario's.
To be fair to Jenrick, there appear to be quite a large number of Tories who were pro-Remain who post-2016 had a damascene conversion and realised the error of their ways. Even some of those who most loudly proclaim the wonder of Brexit today.
This was definitely because their views truly changed and was absolutely not because being pro-EU was good their career pre-2016 and being pro-Brexit was better afterwards. No sir. Perish the thought.
And in other news, Sean Penn has no recollection of hanging out of the back of Madonna.
(Actually, it would make better sense to invoke Guy Ritchie. Madge was fit and hardly at all mad 40 years ago, when Penn was the man.)

It could be of course that although their personal preference would have been to stay in the EU, they accepted that the public had voted against and that their duty was to (as promised) carry out their decision. I realise that accepting the referendum result is something of an alien concept to many Remainers!

Accepting the referendum result is difficult when, taken to the Supreme Court, in February 2019, Sir James Eadie QC, for the government, accepted it was illegal.
Had the referendum result been mandatory, it would’ve been annulled, right then and there, but because it was only advisory, Referendum Act 2015, it couldn’t be annulled, but the government went ahead anyway, citing ‘the will of the people’.
All based on lies.
