No I believe that based on the evidence available at the time that both the British and USA Governments together with those advising them from the intelligence agencies thought Iraq was a threat

In hindsight that appears to have been wrong very wrong but hindsight is a wonderful thing

Your hindsight seems to be ignoring the many many people who at the time said that the war was unjust and shouldn't be happening.

Coalition of the Willing (to ignore the advice of the UN weapons inspectors and most of the international community and go to war anyway).
Coalition of the Willing (to make a ton of cash for Halliburton et al and by extension the powers than be in the US)

The evidence at the time showed that this war was bullshit and hindsight has merely proved it to be correct.

Liar and war criminal. Grotesque that he tailed the US government's ludicrous lie that Saddam's Ba'athist movement was somehow in cahoots with the Islamic fundamentalists who launched the terror attacks and used this as the justification for the illegal war. In reality, Saddam was one of the great bulwarks against fundamentalism. Ba'athism and Islamism were/are about as compatible as BHAFC and Palace.

Had to chuckle today, reading that Jeb Bush is blaming Bill Clinton for the problems in Iraq. "Pulled the troops out to quickly,"he says.
It seems to have slipped his memory that his Dad, Grandad and B Liar invaded the country and started most of the problems in the first place.

Do you mean his Dad and his brother? Bit harsh to blame his granddad who was never president

True. His granddad had assets confiscated in the second world war as his bank was money laundering for the Nazis. So, the ability to make money out of war is a long-established one in the Bush family

You'd like to hope the Chilcot Report delay is due to him wanting to get it absolutely right before he lights the blue touchpaper that could indeed set off proceedings that see B.Liar indicted as a war criminal. However, the longer it drags on, the move you think it'll end up as just another dodgy dossier.

The guilt is not so much invading Iraq to remove a despotic murderous dictator but having no plan post war to manage the vacuum left by his removal. With a proper plan and NOT disbanding the Iraq army things would have been much different

Leaving Iraq, Libya and Syria alone would have meant a far more stable and IS Free Middle East/North Africa. Don't play with fire.....

Blair is a war criminal and should be tried.... and then hung for treason.....

Result....

War criminal, no. Misguided fool, yes. History will judge: his political legacy will forever be tarnished by one (very) stupid mistake.

Nothing to chuckle about. That ******** has a good chance of being the next US president, and is as much a shite as his father and brother. He even fixed an election to get his brother in.
Bush = scum.

Impressive political career and a superb Prime Minister. One huge foreign policy mistake has seen people lambast him as a hate figure but history will judge him kinder with the distance that time provides. IMO, like.

It wasn't a mistake though, was it? It was a deliberate deception on the British people that lead to the deaths of thousands of innocent people and left the world a much more dangerous place. IMHO, like.

You're a legend Sir, but I respectfully disagree. This is the one subject I don't think we'll ever agree on,

No! And to be frank like Libya and Syria if we hadn't stuck our noses in I too think the world would be a safer place in general.
