Im going to be honest here.

I was in town yesterday and thought I would pop into the ticket office to get a ticket for yesterdays game, I dont know what I expected as I knew the prices but when They said it was 25 quid I just could not bare to part with that sort of money for a
League 1 game.

So you would rather part with around £45 for premiershite football?

You don't HAVE to go bare to Albion games, would also have been a bit cold yesterday so I do understand your reasoning

I would pay that, Max I would pay is 35ish for any ticket apart from a cup final/ big game.

You would get better value with Brighton who are playing quite well where as Spurs are struggling. How much is it to get into Spurs these days?

Paid 32 for Spurs Derby
20 vs Blackpool
32 vs Man City.

They are playing well, however its still a lot of money to sit in withers to watch that league.

I'd agree, way OTT if you are not a fan. Unfortunately most of us on here are so we pay it.

There is nothing suprising about attendances from my point of view. If you think about it - Withdean was always going to be a temporary measure. Problem was - how long for? People have gotten weary of the facilities, weather, prices etc etc and countless other permutations. You won't simply fix the problem by lowering prices - you may get more sales by ensuring the match day (or week before) ticketing process is better, but its going to be this way for a few more years yet - I can see threads like this being repeated and repeated and repeated, until we get to where we are going and we can then knock a few issues off the list!!

Two principal reasons for low attendances

1. Shit ground, shit facilities - and many people have been and know it.
2. Expensive to get in.

There isn't much we can now do about point 1 (that would be a false economy), but I would urge the club to really go hammer and tongs about point 2. We'll say what happens for the Gillingham game.

With regards to previous attendances over the years here, we pretty much filled up to capacity. However, there are STILL people out there who think it's nigh-impossible to get tickets for Withdean - and I'm not talking about the haphazard way the Ticket Office is run.

I am, I went through a few seasons when I went to most games home and away, The only reason I didnt get a season ticket this year is because I play on sats.

Fair enough, who did you support when we played Spurs a couple of seasons ago though?

A draw and then spurs to win the replay on pens, with the game on sky - to get more money in.

Only because I thought Spurs had more chance to win it for some reason ???

Shit football and a lowly position means low crowds, not sure I can EVER remember decent football, high in the league AND shit attendances at Brighton though and knowing how many used to turn out to watch us, 5,500 for what is almost a top of the table clash is worrying imo.

Can't be that people think it's sold out imo, if you want to go you'd check it out, surely? 3/10 excuse or clutching at straws

High up on the South Downs.
Under 5000 home fans

to watch a team on a good run against the table toppers. That is dire!

Where have all the Albion fans gone?
Watching Sussex non-league clubs
Chelshit
Christmas shopping
It's all the fault of Withdean/the stewards/the lack of atmosphere.

Whatever the reasons this is getting serious and will probably cost us players in January.
Does anyone remember the days when we told Reading that our fan basewas bigger and more loyal than theirs?
