Blur are my personal all time favourites. However thats not to say they filled some mof their albums up with some very poor songs**! Therefore most of their best moments will be on their best of album.

Having said that, I've just noticed Chemical World isnt on there?!!

Only other song that i like that i can see is not on there off the top of my head is Best Days.

**(Same as seeing them live, sometimes, when they're interested, awesome, othertimes, when their not, boring and going through the motions.)

I would suggest never buying best-ofs for a start!

"Is it really so strange" is one of my favourite smiths songs which you dont seem to have there.

I love all these bands but the Best Of with the most omissions is the Blur one, clearly.

Get yourself EVERY TRACK from Modern Life Is Rubbish and I'd also gobble up most of Leisure and Parklife if you can.

The Great Escape has some kitsch value and you should get Ernold Same off that if only for the amusement of Ken Livingstone doing a Blur track. Globe Alone, Yuko & Hiro and Best Days are all worth a listen from the same album too.

When it comes to the self titled album I'd have Strange News From Another Star and You're So Great then moving onto 13 grab Trimm Trabb to go with the wonderful Tender AND I'd even say there a few worthwhile moments on Think Tank too (which came out after the Best Of) like Battery In Your Leg, Good Song, Jets and Gene by Gene.

Finally I'd hunt down the B Side to Music Is My Radar called Black Book, easily their best B Side.

I well love Blur I do

And For Tommorow & Sunday Sunday, appears theres nothing of Modern Life is Rubbish?

For Tomorrow is no.17 on that list. That's my favourite Blur song ever. But in essence, you're bang on, MLIR criminally overlooked. Whack Advert on your list.

Blur

Popscene

This.

Out of Time from 'Think Tank' is also a great track.

'Best Of's' exist for two types of people, the lazy who aren't really into a band and only want the songs they've heard of and the people who have heard the songs and use the compilations as a way in to explore a band further. HSH seems to be in the second catagory, so deserves the recommendations and not the snobbery.

If this chap is a NIPPER, and he's dabbling with Smiths and Cure 'Best ofs', rather than listening to Lady f***ing GaGa, then more power to him.

Having said that, my advice would be to nip to HMV, where you can currently buy EVERY one of the Smiths studio albums on CD for THREE POUNDS each. Then listen at your leisure. No point whatsoever asking anyone, even HUGE Smiths fans, what the 'best' tracks are. The best ones are your own favourites, nowt else.
