THREE quid each?
f*** me, I'd have saved a BOMB if I were a youth today I can tell you
Yup. THREE Quid.
In fact off of the top of my head, right now at THREE quid you can buy;
Smiths - Queen is Dead
Smiths - Louder than Bombs [compilation]
Smiths - Meat is Murder
Smiths - Hatful of Hollow
Smiths - Strangeways here we come
Simths - the other one with the white cover, the name of which I can't remember right now.
Stone Roses - two different singles collections
Primal Scream - Screamadelica
Happy Mondays - Pills and Thrills and Bellyaches
Charlatans - the one with 'The Only one I know' on it
James - Singles Collection
ALL worth a listen, for them there nippers out there.
The best value for £33 anyone could wish for there, maybe miss out primark scream.....Just a mater of taste.
top value

'Best Of's' exist for two types of people, the lazy who aren't really into a band and only want the songs they've heard of and the people who have heard the songs and use the compilations as a way in to explore a band further. HSH seems to be in the second catagory, so deserves the recommendations and not the snobbery.
I would suggest never buying best-ofs for a start
If this chap is a NIPPER, and he's dabbling with Smiths and Cure 'Best ofs', rather than listening to Lady f***ing GaGa, then more power to him.
Having said that, my advice would be to nip to HMV, where you can currently buy EVERY one of the Smiths studio albums on CD for THREE POUNDS each. Then listen at your leisure. No point whatsoever asking anyone, even HUGE Smiths fans, what the 'best' tracks are. The best ones are your own favourites, nowt else.
Primal Scream, top bandAny album with LOADED and MOVIN' ON UP on it is worth £3 of anyone's money.
FACT.
Primal Scream, top band
Missed out on seeing them in Brighton last year
