Does anybody know how many tickets have been sold?

The argus said that there 5,400 sold and the club expect to reach somewhere near 7,000

I'm tempted to take a shirt to get signed by as many ex-players as i can during the half hour break

This for me is very high on the list of "very pissed off I'm missing it" games.
I wish I was there & I think it'll be a great night.

It kicks off at 1.45pm!!! Hope its not going on that long!!!!!

Peter Ward was the real deal. You just knew when he ran at defenders it would finish with either a goal or if he got into the box, a penalty.....which Nobby would ram home.
He was the reason Match of the Day were regular visitors in the old Division 3 days; he was box office.

Happy days usually with a 22,000 crowd at the Goldstone too...even against opposition such as Mansfield or Wrexham.

I've heard a rumour....and it is only a rumour but would make sense that BZ will be playing the first 15 minutes at the legends game and then off to Lewes for the second half of that game.

I couldn't believe they dropped Fred Binney to play an unknown from Burton.

i really was looking forward today, but i think i should not go, as i will feel angry with myself i have no money left for the things i want to do - and will make me more grown up and better prepared

i hope everyone has a great time, and i will and should be at hastings

I don't expect to see the magic of all those years past but just to have him on the field will be magic in itself.

he's BOUND to score, he MUST score then all those youngsters will be able to sing alon....

" He shot, he scored....."

Here & there
Peter Ward had the ability to raise the noise levels of the crowd who anticipation could be almost felt..................only two other players i have seen had this ability...Kevin Keegan and the one and only George Best. Ward had a touch of magic it could be said,.....yes Brighton Legend:ascarf:

As someone who took an interest in Liverpool in the late seventies & early eighties I would say that Dalglish was twice the player Keegan ever was. Can't argue with Best tho.
