The tracker is one of the great all time threads- it just works so well, and removes false positions due to either really hard or easy runs of games, but doesnt really show other in the broadest sense how much better or worse than previously we are. Its all well and good saying after x games we are in a better or worse place but that also isnt comparing like for like.

Your list above though does exactly that, a direct comparison with the clubs we played last year and to be 6points better off out of 8 games is outstanding, to have only one game where we have fewer points is amazing .

And there's not even one game, really - as that one is an arbitrary 'substitution' of Fulham for Norwich. Fulham 22/23 are a better side than Norwich 21/22.

The tracker is a brilliant thing! This is a minor rip off in comparison. Ha ha. But interesting nonetheless- tough few games coming up though .

I think this is valid, and the like for like comparison is interesting for sure. I like to see it.

Like the tracker though it's flaws are in the team's that vary their performance from one season to the next. Burnley, Everton and Leeds spring to mind, the promoted sides v relegated ones. There is also sometimes a good time to play teams and a bad time. Lots of variables so nothing is perfect.

They do - we do. Especially as we need a steep 10points from our next five to remain +6 on YOY

Brentford (A) W in 21/22
Forest (H) - or Watford (H) W
Haaland FC (A) L
Chelsea (H) D
Wolves (A) W
—————————-
Villa (H) L

Ha ! well it has to be one of the promoted three but its hard to match em up. For purposes here i think i've gone Norwich/Fulham, Forest/Watford, and Burnley/Bournemouth but you're right it could be any combination of them. This is what we have to do to match 21/22 v Forest, Bournemouth, Fulham this season. It was - P6, W3, D2, L1 - 11 points last year. So 10 points from the remaining 5 matches v promoted teams needed starting next Tuesday.

One lost point from last night. 6 over the relegation tracker. 1 over Europe.

Need to beat Forest to keep us six points over. The same over as we were at after 10 games last season it should be noted.

Oh dear. Just 4 over now. Won't mention Europe as that seems more distant when we can't score a goal. But 1 under that.
