Currently on target for Champions League Qualification. 76 (2 points a game) has always been enough to be in the top 4, and would have won the league in 96/97.

Quick update on the league table. Interesting to see what a bad comparable start Wolves have had.

Big game tomorrow night for Forest and Leicester.

The all seasons comparison, confirming this is our best ever first 7 games (as if we didn't know that already!).

Although...

2022-23: P7 W4 D2 L1 F14 A8 PTS 14
2021-22: P7 W4 D2 L1 F8 A5 PTS 14

We drew the 8th game.

It's who, and how we have played though!

Indeed it is. Taken 14 points from 6 games played against teams in PL last season; took 7 last season. Current form is really quite stunning; IMO a lot to do with playing Caicedo as well as management.

The Europe tracker. Less confidence on this as very hardly to predict the level required to qualify for Europe.

We have played away at the sides who finished 2nd, 6th & 7th and claimed 7 points
Then beaten at home sides who finished 8th & 11th
Our worst two results so far have been a draw vs Leeds who finished 17th and a defeat to Fulham who were promoted from the Championship.

Our run of games has been tricky with only 3 fixtures where we should've got any points according to the tracker. We have been amazing

We beat Leeds, our draw was against Newcastle who finished 11th.

Absolutely classic BHA over few seasons.

Still 7 over. 4 expected points from the next two games looks doable, but don't underestimate Brentford at home under the lights. A potential menace.

And how the league table looks (assuming Man Utd hold on to beat Everton). Worth noting Newcastle's and Man City's position, highlighting neither have played many of the top teams yet.

Should also mention we are still 2 over Europe. Don't need to beat Spurs to achieve that.

Also worth noting as I don't think I have highlighted it before that for the Europe tracker (unlike the relegation one) the points we need are quite heavily weighted towards the second half of the season 26 v 34. Quite a lot to do to keep up with that if we are not still ahead coming into the Father Christmas World Cup.

Wins in the next 2 will help cushion us for the 2 games after that.
City and a grudge sgainst Chelsea.

That's how I see it. Tough ask but if we can win both we are getting through to the World Cup break in good nick.

Yep, I'd bite your hand off now for 7 more points from Brentford, Forest, Man C, Chelsea, Wolves and Villa now leaving us still 7 over going into the break.

I'd be delighted with 10, but probably a little disappointed with just 7

Absolutely, 7 points would also leave us one point ahead of the Europe tracker.
