As I posted elsewhere, one could argue that football has changed and (Man U aside) the Billy big bollox mentality and club cliques is a thing of the past in the EPL. Look how matey the EPL players are after a game. Can you imagine Roy Keane cuddling an opponent and having a chat after the final whistle?I think Southgate has done well in breaking the club cliques that existed before his tenure, and getting to finals and semis.
He has made the England team quite representative if the country, dull, and not as good as it should be for the talent that is in it.
Having slept on it, the decision to stick with Kane was poor, and using the keeper to make play like he does at Everton is idiotic.
