Madness going for Henry.
Frank Lampard would be a great appointment for them.

If he wants the job, and if they can afford him. So may times in the past we have seen great players automatically think that they can be great managers too. Sadly in the great majority of cases they blot their reputations and become awful ones.

At the moment everyone in the league looks like six points a season to Guardiola. Our 1-0 defeat to them is probably the closest anyone has got to getting something from them in 2021, and we hardly laid a glove on them.
My point being it’s easy to praise the opposition when your constantly beating them, it’s like a pat on the head for turning up.

Do you rate Lampard? He seem tactically inept, if you can’t get the Chelsea team he had winning with ease like the new manager has then your doing something very wrong.

And,as has been pointed out before, he doesn't do it with every team he beats and he does beat quite a lot of teams.

Haha we're slightly scratching our heads at this.

We currently have a quite talented squad with absolutely no cohesion at all on the field. The Championship is a massive smack in the nadgers. Rovrum last night were a team full of giants playing like they were possessed and thats how its been all season. Unfortunately our over paid prima donnas seem to think they have a god given right to return to the promised land by simply gracing the field.

Wake up call.

And I would assume the majority of your fanbase would not see one of the greatest and most decorated players in the PL era, with zero experience of managing in the english second division, as someone capable of harnessing your squad of entitled prima-donnas back to the Promised Land ? Whats the reaction been like ?

Sounds like Henry could deal with that. Poor results aside he has also shown to be a no-nonsense manager.

Otherwise I dunno, that Eddie Howe bloke is still unemployed isnt he? Bring him in.

Completely agree.

Frank has shown more ability as a manger so far compared to Henry. His first season with Chelsea where he spent no money he did a excellent job.

That said if I were a Bournemouth fan it’d be hard not to be intrigued at the thought of Henry taking charge.

The reaction is negative as you'd expect. That said the others are Wagner, Terry who's drifted out, Lampard who's drifted further, Viera and probably the stadium cat stuck in an application. Woodgate - nah. Its still pretty crap despite his best attempts but seriously if you put lipstick on a pig its still a pig....we feel its more about the players.

Nigel Pearson was a popular choice simply because we assumed he would kick arse....which is kind of the natural reaction people want.

I really dunno.

I have a feeling Eddie might go to your nemesis club, actually we all think that.

Henry was a world class striker and I find him an interesting pundit, but getting promoted from the Championship is an environment where experience, calmness and a track record count for much.

I think Lampard is a good fit. He doesn't have years of experience but what he does have with Derby and Chelsea is recent and relevant, he has connections and is well respected.

Matt Woosnam in the Athletic seems to suggest Eddie isn’t that keen.

Don’t blame him. I assume he is a multi-millionaire living in the Sandbanks / Studland Bay Area. For me that is the most perfect place in the world. It would take a lot to prize me out of there if I was lucky enough to live there.

I didn't watch a great deal of Lampard's Derby or Chelsea teams, so I'm happy to be corrected, but based on the final positions in the table I'm not sure he's demonstrated any ability to actually improve a side.
He may well turn into a good manager, but I don't see him as ideal for a team looking for a quick promotion.

To answer your question, I kind of do. He did particularly well last season at Chelsea and did a passable job at Derby.
This season, having so many big signings at once (and not all his players) was likely to take time to gel.
A decent championship club, with a good chance of promotion, would be a good fit imo.
My ITK plucky friend told me tonight he didn’t fancy it though.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Woodgate gets it till the end of the season.

Henry to Plucky would be their Hyypia. Please let it happen.

Smug Eddie to Palace would need them to change philosophy and quite a few of their squad.
