Please realise that on this Magoo f***ed up by leaving him at home.I'm not saying we would've won today but we would have had a better chance with Leon there.
Magoo is not some all conquering being,he fucks things up occasionally the same as I do and the same as you do.
Sure we all do, nobodies perfect.
But are you basically saying that Leon can do exactly what he wants because he is indespensible from the team ?

Not at all.If they've got issues then they can sort them out internally.
There is no point at all in fielding a weakened side just because they've had a ruck just to prove a point.

I wouldn't care if Leon was better than Pele, if his attitude is wrong then he has to be taught to change it. If he wants first team football he needs to constantly be a team player.

And you'd have said that if it was Bobby Z that had an attitude as well then?

The point is Leon hasn't apologised for acting like a child, therefore McGhee wasn't happy playing him. Leon needs to make amends, and then knuckle down and play like we know he can.

Leon doesn't have a devine right to a place in the squad - he has to knuckle down and EARN it like every other player. The day McGhee starts pandering to Leons little tantrums is the day he'll lose the dressing room completely.

I dunno how Leons stinking attitude has somehow been turned round into a criticism of McGhee. If Leon would act like a f***ing PROFESSIONAL in the first place, we wouldn't even be having this debate.

Agree 100% with Easy, wtf did people expect this season? We knew it was going to be a relegation battle, and thats what it is. We are not adrift from anyone, we are in there fighting.....just as we expected

Some people need a serious reality check:shootself

I am not really sure he has anything to apologise for.

he was taken off...he didn't like it...simple as.

If Mcghee wants him to flay himself and walk around in sack cloth for a week then I for one would go and buy a donut and have a nice refreshing shower.

I could understand if we had lots of options but we are skint! This is what we have. Take it or leave.

McGhee has a big ego but sadly not the managerial ability to match it.

Bit like Leon then who is nowhere near as good as he thinks he is?

We draw some,we lose some.

Haven't met a supporter yet who wouldn't want to win every game, and ,hey, that's me.

But the reality check is that we are,at present,a poorish team, stuck at the foot of the table with some other poorish teams.

A loss at Stoke is a ba***rd,though not unexpected ,even by me.I predicted 2-0 to the Albion based on Stoke's poor form, the law of averages....it's years since we won there, and unstaunched optimism about the Albion.

And the bloke on Sky did say Brighton were playing the better football, though he added that goals win matches.

True enough.I'd rather we played crappy football and won, rather than the opposite. But we have nobody....NOBODY...good enough to score 15-20 goals for us in this division,so we have to scrat about looking for goals from, well, anywhere to make up the shortfall.(Come on o.g.)

Leon Knight may,or may not, have deserved his "rest",and McGhee is either the best ,or the worst of managers.

But both are what we have got,so we'll have to get on with it.
And look at the teams around us,and think,"16th.We're gonna finish 16th"

And let's not be trite and say "keep the faith",but realistic, and accept it's a grind at times. In the end,and whatever,at least we still have a club and a team to support,a new stadium on the horizon.

And it's been a good cider crop.

Gerbil, I'm sorry but you are talking cobblers. What will keep us up is team spirit and a good manager. If Leon is going to go around destroying that team spirit with his petulance then perhaps he should move on to another team.

He may be a flair player, but we need someone who can score goals, and 3 so far is not a good enough return.

As for comparing him with Bobby Z, well.....

Support the team, support the manager, and keep the faith.

Let me ask a question:
Who is the better professional, Leon Knight or Jake Robinson?

Undoubtedly they are of different ability, but did anyone note Jake's reation today when he got sub'd - he did what I've seen many footballers do in the same situation - he jogged to the touchline (to prove he was still fit to play on) and then turned to his supporters and showed his appreciation of their efforts (usually by clapping hands above head).

LK would do well to see a video of this and learn from it - esp as he doesn't get sub'd very often.

In a clash of personalities, the manager has to be backed if he is to keep the respect of his players. LK cannot be bigger than the team.

But still probably more naturally gifted than anyone else in the Brighton squad.

I make todays result only 2 Wins in 19 Competitive Games this season. I've personally forgot what it is like to win regularly as, correct me if i'm wrong, we have only won 6 or 7 Games this year.

It's got to improve soon. I am worried and am starting to lose faith in McGhee and the players (Leon Knight) for instance. We need a Golascorer and a Left Back or we are going down for sure because with our record, no matter what you say, we haven't got a hope in hell in this Division if we don't turn things around soon.

All the natural ability in the world is no good without the right attitude.
