We are still no where to getting Falmer,Have no money,crowds lowest for years a youth team coach in charge of the first team and team full of youth players.If that plan is the only one for the future then

On the whole, thats a pretty decent crop of youth players that have come through, and yes, that at the moment is our plan for the future. The problem seems to be peoples inflated expectations of them.

Out of interest, what, precisely, would YOU have done differently to Dick Knight in order to deliver a proper stadium for the Albion ? Where did he (in your mind) go wrong ?

On the major point ... We are closer to getting Falmer than you recognise.

The squad we have (and its leadership) is enough to allow the club to develop as a cost-effective force in English football, given time.

With no-one to bankroll an alternative strategy on the field, by buying in tried and tested superstars, we have to grow our own. The impatience of some fans is understandable, but the solution isn't to sack the board.

Nor is it to shoot yourself.

If you're waiting to be shot down in flames, then I guess you already know that Beeding is a complete non-starter, so its not worth listing all the reasons (yet again) why that wouldn't work. We both already know that idea is bollocks.

I'll ask again then. Were you in Dick Knights shoes, what would YOU have done differently to get a stadium for the Albion ? Where did Knight go wrong ?

But the way we are playing we could go down to the basement league.And the crowds must be a worry the team is playing total rubbish and we need some new players

I take LB's point about affordable football and a team that may develop.

The big problem with that is that it is realy a big gamble by DK and does look like 'doing it on the cheap'. It could go either way for us this season with this side and so far DK's gamble has payed off but for how long........

Ok we get falmer , but find our selves trying to fund a new stadium and a team in div 2 with drasticaly lower crowds what then? All because we could'nt find that small bit of extra finance to give this current team a fighting chance.
