No it's quite clear to most sensible people that your views are absolute crap and not mine.I don't know why i'm even replying but i suppose it was the tone you used to give your view more weight. He has just pledged his future by signing a new deal and stated it was an easy decision and he was happy.
That is good enough foe most sensible fans and if he wants to make a statement over these rumours then that's entirely down to him.

Seriously some people really need to put there thinking cap on.

I am amazed (and very happy) that no other clubs have made more offers in the window for other players in the squad, Murray, Calderon etc.

With regards to Bennett, it is the nature of football that his head may be turned by other offers and he knows as we all do, that, unlike the rest of us he is virtually finished by 35 (if he gets to there) and needs to maximise his earnings before that point, so really in this modern day and age there is no such thing as club loyalty (with a few notable exceptions at the very top clubs, Ryan Giggs, Tony Adams etc.). Of course I want him to stay but if he does go that is football and Gus will probably do something similar that Norwich are doing to another club to replace Bennett (and that player may be even better than EB). It will almost inevitably happen to Gus too one day if he keeps on being as successful as he is, so brace yourselves, but hopefully later rather than sooner.

Jesus! The only speculation is that of a bunch of antsy NSCers who are getting their knickers in a twist and making far more out of the situation than they need to. Bennett doesn't need to say anything. It's the panicking, paranoid NSCers who need to STOP banging on about it.

Absolutely, this!

Both teams likely to be in the Championship next year - so what's the advantage of him leaving, unless they are offering a massive salary rise?

Shirley you cannot be serious. We could match Norwich's poxy 25k at home and raise them 5k if we were challenging for the Premiership as they are. As Simster says above, Norwich are currently a bigger club than us, but on a level playing field we'd more than give them a run for their money. Big club they are not.

See, you have done what a lot of muppets on here have done. Confusing potential with history and current status. My point is that Norwich are a bigger club than us, not equal but bigger both in history and current status.

I will be happy if Bennett DOESN'T say anything - and if his agent keeps his trap shut too. Transfer deals should be negotiated between the clubs, and at some stage the player (when it comes to negotiating wages, if the clubs have agreed on a transfer in principle). Only FACTS should be allowed to come out (ie. Norwich have made an offer which we have turned down, which I believe is the case). Whispering campaigns by players and agents is just what I DON'T want to hear, thank you.
Just keep it buttoned, Elliott - carry on with your job, and if something happens, it happens - you can tell us then!

Elliott Bennett does not have to make a decision unless he receives an offer. It is possible, but unlikely, that before the end of the month The Albion management will approach Elliott and say that we have received an offer for him that we would like to accept, then it's up to Elliott to decide whether he wants to move or not. A number of people have commented on the respective stadia of Norwich and ourselves, as a lover of older grounds I regret to say that lovely as The Amex is I prefer Lesbie Avenue.
