Time for Bennett to end the speculation

I totally agree with Arthur. It's noticable how Albion do most of their business entirely behind closed doors these days (there really aren't many leaks) and I must say I really like it that way. I don't want anyone including Elliott Bennett feeling they need to speak publicly!

As for Bennett, I'm hoping he stays, but if he doesn't it'll be because:
* he's earnt a move to what is currently a bigger club
* Albion will receive a tidy fee in compensation
* Albion will have a replacement lined up

But he's probably our player of the season so far, so hopefully it won't happen.

Out of interest, on what criteria do you base the assertion that we are as big a club as Norwich?

Shirley you cannot be serious. We could match Norwich's poxy 25k at home and raise them 5k if we were challenging for the Premiership as they are. As Simster says above, Norwich are currently a bigger club than us, but on a level playing field we'd more than give them a run for their money. Big club they are not.

i am not saying he owes us anything. All i am saying is it would go a long way to ending the speculation.

Also, how do we know the club are playing with a straight bat? For all we know TB, could have gone back to Norwich and said for £1.5m he is yours. Then comes out saying he doesn't want to sell any players. Covers his back.

The truth is we don't know what is going on. Hence the speculation.

With Howe, he turned down CP and Charlton, but then had a call from burnley. It was clear he was tempted to leave as he had talks with the other clubs.

How about the fact they averaged 24k in LEAGUE ONE. Is that level enough for you?

Norwich are a model provincial club, IMO. I'd love their recent history and levels of support down here, and I think it's achievable. Indeed, I think we could have even bigger support if the club is managed and marketed properly in the local community. Back in the 60s and 70s Norwich were not a big club, but they've been fairly-to-very well supported in my 30 years following the Albion.

With something like 19,000 season ticket holders. You have to say that is impressive, especially when you compare it to our situation. We're about to move into a BRAND NEW stadium and some people are not convinced we'll sell 15,000 season tickets.

We haven't been on a level playing field with any 'bigger club' since the sale of the Goldstone, so no. If this season had been played at Falmer with us top of the league we would have had our share of 20kish crowds so the notion that they are something we cannot aspire to be in the next couple of seasons is frankly baloney.

In which case, we will find out in due course. Until then...

I don't care what anyone says but silence is not golden in this case. Until EB comes out and puts his 2 pence worth in , I think it's safe to assume that he may well be up for this move.

Hoping EB says something soon

Nobody said we couldn't ASPIRE to become as big / bigger. We can all look forward to those days, which might be 2 years or 10 years away. Elliot Bennett MIGHT not want to hang around in the hope that we do.

Isn't the reason their season ticket sales are so high due to giving away freebies to U-16's or really cheap season tickets all round.

Maybe someone can enlighten me.

yep here we go....dirt cheap. We would sell that many at those prices easily

Norwich City | Tickets | Season Tickets | CITY LAUNCH 2011-12 SEASON TICKETS

4 quid a game for u-12s
7 quid a games for U-16's

I agree entirely with this.

What I wouldn't want to happen is for EB to hand in a transfer request like Austin and for the supporters to turn on him like the Swinedon lot...SWINDON TOWN: Austin hands in transfer request From This Is Swindon Town FC)

After a 14-year battle, it's the news Albion fans have been eagerly awaiting, as the club has revealed season-ticket prices for the first campaign at the American Express Community Stadium - and supporters will be pleased to learn that ticket packages are very competitively priced.

Adult prices range from the cheapest at £395 to £595 for some of the very best seats in the stadium - compared to early renewal prices of £373 to £484 at Withdean this season - with junior tickets from £49 for under-10s, £99 for under-16s and £267.50 for seniors.

yep vastly different!

in other news, shortly after the manager and directors of BHA declared that Elliot Bennet isn't going anywhere, said player releases a press release saying he isn't going anywhere.

Give it up Mike, you're a poxy little club who can only dream of matching the might (and fanbase) of Ipswich Town.

Yes, it would seem to be. So that's great news. We're a shoo-in for selling 19,000 season tickets according to dwayne.
