Need a lwb / lb and a decent one at that .

Striker

Players like proper and AJ need to try to get some money back

Fair bit of dead wood to clear out but can’t see it being major as evolution is what they like .

I’d be surprised if we go big striker though .

I think Walton, White and Bissouma will go.

The priority will be a forward for me to replace Maupay. Midfield wise, presumably Caciedo signing was with an eye on Bissouma leaving. I wonder if Veltman will replace White and Ostigard or Clarke will join the squad.

Welbeck may be worth keeping from an experience perspective as we have a young dressing room.

Strikers should be welbeck (one year deal), maupay, andone and Wilson if Newcastle go down.

Loan out connolly and if he improves replace him with welbeck.

Let locadia, Ali j, izqueirdo go for free.

You think so? I look at him and his positioning is good, he reads the game well and he’s good on the ball but he lacks two key attributes to reach the very top as a centre half - pace and physical presence.

Ben White is rapido, I’d genuinely be surprised if there is a quicker centre back in the league. He could do with a pound or two of muscle but that’s about it (in my opinion, of course).

I think the recruitment team should focus on getting the highest fee possible to the biggest club for Bissouma (assuming he wants to leave) we need to stop our reliance on the chairman's cash injections, its not a sustainable model. Also show potential signings there's a path to champions league clubs.

I also feel we need a squad trim, ofload some of the high earning fringe players and reinvest in a handful of experienced players to compliment our young squad.

I think we could have a good season next year, perhaps top 12 but also dramatically improve our financial situation.

I don't see us spending big on anyone for a while, the ethos will be to sign youngsters and develop them or sign experienced quality on free transfers/nominal fees. We've felt light defensively with Lamptey, March & Webster out but the use of the 3-5-2 yesterday was sensational and allowed an overload in the final third that the previous 5-3-2 or 5-3-1-1 didn't allow

The more we play in a consistent style and system the better our players will be at understanding their role and the passes they need to make to find the runs their teammates have made. The balance will always be enough options and creating space for players to develop. A few will need to leave to allow others to improve and only a couple of signings needed, a Leftback & striker, but we might already have them in Bernardo & Andone

Club has a lot of work to do in the summer to get rid of fringe players, unfortunately its very hard and there's a chance the squad will be quite large next season as well.

Bissouma will leave, almost certain, and maybe one of White/Webster, other than that I think no important players will leave.

Will probably just be one or two players coming in as well.

Have to agree and I am sure the money will go on signing that elusive striker...Eg sell Biss 40-50mill and white 50 mill thats 100 million incoming. Sign ONE decent striker at 25-30 million and TB has 70 mill back in the bank...

Only trouble there is that nobody will pay those prices for Bissouma or White. Bissouma - might get close, but White, although he's played well, hasn't greatly enhanced his value from last summer, when no-one was willing to pay more than £25-£30M for him. And remember, covid has made a hole in all clubs' finances.

Get Webster, Solly and Lamptey back fully fit.

Sign Welbeck, if he’s reasonable with his money demands.

Hopefully keep Bissouma.

Sign another striker (with pace), a LB and midfield cover.

Goalkeepers - better cover for Sanchez?

Farewell I think to Propper and Jahanbakhsh.

I am not sure we need any more midfielders. I suspect we would cash in on Bissouma or White.
I think Izzy might leave too. Definitely need LB cover and a goal scorer but a fit Welbeck could easily cover that for another season.

Only because imho we’d sorely miss Lallana with any absences next season, so I’d love us to sign someone with that creative genius.

Ali Mac another season under his belt?

I think we have enough quality coming through too with Caicedo and possible Alzate.
I accept they are not as good as Adam now, but they will only get better.

My shopping list next season (so long as we're still in the Premier league) would be;

A better quality striker to what we have.
A winger to replace an outgoing Jahanbakhsh.
Left back cover to help out Solly, if Karbownik is not ready.
An experienced goalkeeper as back up to Sanchez.
Replace Biss or White if we lose one. Although we're already well places for any departures with our loan army.

& sell as many as possible from Ryan, Duffy, Locadia, Bernardo, Jahanbakhsh, Propper, & Steele.

If we do go for another striker then decisions will need to be made on the current selection. I'd probably aim to give Connolly a season loan in the Championship.

Real Madrid have still not replaced Makalele and Barca need a replacement for Busquets. A bidding war for Bissouma could be a lot of fun.

My other worry is that people are starting to ask questions about Potter - What would he achieve with the right players? etc

At football yesterday a few of my Spurs supporting teammates were agreeing that he might be worth a punt to replace Jose.

Perhaps this kind of talk will force Tony's hand to do some business and give him the forwards he requires. - Not suggesting that some blokes talking before a game in St Lenoards, Australia will change Tony's mind, although you never know. As a mildly interesting aside one of the blokes reckons his grandfather was responsible for scouting a certain Chris Hughton for Spurs.

Is that allowed?
