But according to Hiney that obviously means you WANT us to lose:shootself

No it doesn't.

You really don't get it do you?

You've made, I'm sure, thousands of posts on NSC but I was largely oblivious to you until I happened across your spite-ridden digs at Kerry Mayo recently. Since then I've seen other things that you've written and, generally, I find there is an unpleasant tone running through what you write. Sure, the general sentiment may match many others, but most don't feel the need to make continual underhanded snidey attacks such as those that seem to be your trademark.

I must admit I really do not like Murray but apart from that I am 100% behind Adams and the team and am just bloody embarrassed and hurting to be an Albion fans right now and my crushing dissapintment comes out as a rant. I certainly do not like it when Albion lose. I cried on the terraces when we won in the fa cup semi finals and at Cardiff for goodness sake. I want some good times again :cry:

I've heard it all now.

For starters, this was not a "slip up." This was a humiliating defeat to 9 men that rivals ANY bad day I've had supporting the albion. A "slip up" is an unlucky defeat away from home, or a 0-0 at home to someone rubbish, not a home defeat to an average team that had 2 men sent off within half an hour!

Secondly, you seriously think there is GLEE from ANYONE when the albion do poorly? Again, like Ian, I put it to you that you should get off your arse and get down to Withdean before you criticise the words of those that did.

As above, you really don't get it. You didn't get it when this came up about your, frankly, disgraceful comments about Kerry Mayo and you don't get it now.

Perhaps you really are not bright enough to understand.

This is about the wider picture of the tone of your posts. I'm not debating it any further, but I really do wonder if NSC would be a better place without your presence.

I think TCB is probably just as passionate as the rest of us about BHAFC. We just express ourselves differently. His hatred against the Ginger Prince is not on but I am banging on about Murray now so I cannot be too harsh on him. Maybe its best for us all to go to bed, tuck ourselves in with a cup of Horlicks and let the drunken fog lift and reconsider things tomorrow. ,

I think it is harsh the critism dished out on one poster by MODS

I have met TCB and had great conversation about the albion, and his match summarys and analysis are normally spot on.
Just because he hates one player doesnt mean he revels in the glory of an Albion defeat. I think Mayo did alright at the end of last season as cover, but I dont think any less of TCB because he thinks he is rubbish

Same with US, we have our different opinions on McGhee and Robinson in particula, but when we meet in real life, we have a great chat, and there is nothing wrong with that. If he thinks Murray is toilet thats his opinion, but I dont hld it against him when we meet up!

US, I think you're as wrong about Murray as is humanly possible. I think you post absolute drivel where he is concerned, and I think you have a completely irrational and unfair hatred of the bloke.

BUT

I would NEVER deny your right to that viewpoint. If that's what you truly believe then I want you to post it and I want to read it. I may not agree with your reasoning or hatred, but it would be dull if we all agreed.

As you said, we all have passion for the albion. I wouldn't go every week if I didn't, and I find it INSULTING that anyone suggests otherwise. I am fed up of losing at home to dog shit teams like Walsall, because we're so much bigger and better than that. But to be told off for my opinions on those games by two people who cannot be bothered to get off their backside and get down to the Withdean on a regular basis (when I travel home for EVERY home match) is frankly disgusting.

Bullying Mods, its just because bars mar isn't around much at the moment !!

Hold on, Brett. Don't let realism get in the way of the disgraceful benchmark for online behaviour set by our two mods here.

Just because I dislike ONE player (Mayo), and have similar feelings for a maximum of two others, why am I such an awful fan? Shall we talk about all the ones I rate, like, and idolise? What about Michel, my all-time hero? Or Forster, Lynch, Murray, Whing, Robinson, Hawkins, and until today Richards - all of whom I'm a great fan of and regularly post positively about.

I think Bozza and Ian need to consider that we're football fans, and football fans invariably don't rate EVERY member of their team's squad. Personally, I think I'm leaning a lot more to the positive side on this one.

Careful, you'll get the LI treatment if you don't watch it.

I am sorry, I will be quiet and go to bed soon

I am still trying to figure out why our home fans wont cheer on the European Ryder Cup PLayers instead of that redneck American Mr Weekly

What people do, and are like, in real life has absolutely nothing to do with NSC. I'm an eternal optimist and look for, and generally find, the good in everyone. I'm sure most of those on NSC - the thousands of current members, the thousands of never-joined lurkers, even those many permanently banned are decent folk in the big wide world out there.

I'm only concerned with their input into the NSC community. And if that is destructive (and destructiveness can take many forms) then action is taken to help keep NSC ticking along.

Most football supporters have 'players of hate' - players they have a sometimes irrational dislike of. It's the way it goes. However, what I read from TCB about Kerry Mayo I found pretty disgraceful given the tremendous service we have all seen Mayo give to the club over the past umpteen years. It was just not commentary on the playing merits of an individual - something many do about many players of course.
