NSC's Most Stalked
What people do, and are like, in real life has absolutely nothing to do with NSC. I'm an eternal optimist and look for, and generally find, the good in everyone. I'm sure most of those on NSC - the thousands of current members, the thousands of never-joined lurkers, even those many permanently banned are decent folk in the big wide world out there.

I'm only concerned with their input into the NSC community. And if that is destructive (and destructiveness can take many forms) then action is taken to help keep NSC ticking along.

Most football supporters have 'players of hate' - players they have a sometimes irrational dislike of. It's the way it goes. However, what I read from TCB about Kerry Mayo I found pretty disgraceful given the tremendous service we have all seen Mayo give to the club over the past umpteen years. It was just not commentary on the playing merits of an individual - something many do about many players of course.

Thats fair enough, but because someone has a different opinion to yours then you see it as wrong? Have I got that wrong?

Uncle Speilberg has a hate for Murray
Uncle Buck for Robinson
I could go on with peoples hate for Loft or Dixon, and the list on insults thrown at those players is on a par if not worse than Badgers criticism of Mayo

Odious waste of oxygen has been used, f*** off home and pack your bags, you name it it has been said

If the opinions were all the same on everything this board would be a very boring place

No. Yes.

God, if everyone had the same opinion on everything as me, or you, then life would be boring, let alone the small fragment of life that is NSC.

But I do object to destructive behaviour, nomatter what forms that takes.

Absolutely, and we all have vastly differing opinions on many things - the Albion, life, the universe and everything. And there are ways of expressing those opinions. And ways not to.

Thank god. I'm not going mad, someone else sees what I do.

Bozza, would you like me to compile a list for you of every poster on this site who has a hatred for a player that rivals my own? I'm confident I could come up with at least 20 names for you. Are they all destructive too?

It all boils down to opinions, and someone who does such a great job providing this board for everyone should realise that his work would be pretty pointless if people didn't come on and give theirs (however negative or absurd they are).

As I said above - you really do not f***ing get it, do you?

It has nothing to do with your, or anyone's, dislike for a player. Everyone is going to have players they dislike, and they are welcome to talk about it on NSC. But your posts about Mayo were destructive and venomous. Others picked you up on it before me.

Stop now - as I say - you really do not understand and this is not the first time we've had this debate. You really do not seem to get "It has nothing to do with dislike players - something everyone does."

So stop. Now. Or you won't be posting on here for a while.

The use of words like 'twat' or 'pathetic' or 'retard' is unhealthy just because someone doesn't like an opinion that has been written by a member of this board.

And i'm not pointing any fingers because LOTs of NSC members are guilty of it.

I agree, but those posters that are being "destructive" by having a go at a player, is no way as bad as picking on another poster as a target.

I would rather have everyone calling players shit, than people having a go at other posters on here, as it gets more personal, its unecessary and definatley more "destructive" :)

My opinion, FWIW, is that part of the problem could be that TCB is so quick off the mark whenever things are shit. It does give the impression that he's just waiting for the final whistle to kick off on here, when obviously the truth is that he lives bang on top of Withdean so just gets to vent before anyone else. What also doesn't help is that he simply doesn't give himself time to think about things and calm down before he starts up. I was pissed off today, but by the time I got home I'd calmed down. Maybe he should go for a couple of beers before coming here!

I know it's nothing to do with me but I'd rather people come on here to let off about a player than to do it at the ground, It's less damaging. I know TCB & WW do piss people off and they could do with cutting down on the amount of threads they start after a game but at least I can ignore it if I want to.

Boz, whether the Badger comments are irrational or not on KM,

you and Hiney should handle your dirty washing on him in private thru the PM, not slagging off with all your mod influence, it demeans your position and all the hard work you put in to NSC.

I have also noticed the vitriol that this 'Complete Badger' types towards our own players....normally calling them 'idiots' or something to that effect. I recollect him giving elphick a pretty torrid time on here not so long ago as well as cutting down those who have to occasional 'off' game.

Also i think its good to see some of them mods have picked up on this crasstt behaviour as a couple weeks ago he hijacked a perfectly informative thread about purveyor's of fine cuisine, and this led to the banning of 3 posters and the thread being moved to 'childish ramblings'. I for one would welcome and end to mr. badgers input on this forum for at least week or two

then they should PM, ask him to change his tone and if not, put a ban on.

Exactly.

I'd rather have a bit of a rant on here, see how people react - perhaps this might lead to a bit of personal abuse but who cares? I'd rather moan on here than abuse a player at a game, which several thousand decided to do this afternoon. I'm not saying that makes me a better or worse fan, but really, do people need to get so wound up about comments on a message board?

It's not often I do, but on this occasion I have to agree with Hiney, Bozza and Butchy. Badger's posts regarding the Albion nearly always have an overwhelming tone of pessimisim and I dont think he realises it. He certainly doesnt realise where Bozza is coming from in this debate.

:lolol:

So just because you and the kids didn't like some inane drivel about chip shops being moved, you want me banned for talking about the albion (you know, what we're meant to)?

And don't pretend your 'special' friends are above slating the team, because I've seen some pretty insulting stuff from there on here (although not you in particular, I admit).

YOU STILL DONT GET IT DO YOU. It's not talking about the Albion thats the problem. Of course its f***ing not! Its the destructive comments you make about our players. How can you not understand this concept you simpleton?

And have you not seen the amount of threads created that are not football-related? And by the way they are not my 'friends'. I dont even know them. But its funny isnt it how even our mods have singled you out as the main culprit...now that must be for a reason. And no its not a personal vendetta against you its just observation
