Anyone hear the Australian Press Liason guy, on Five Live earlier? He was brilliant.

They got him on to talk about the TORMENT of a bus-load of Aussie athletes having to ENDURE a TWO HOUR coach ride from Heathrow to Stratford, because the driver got a bit lost, expecting him to help ladle on the DOOM.

He said:

"Aaah look...it wasn't ideal after a 23 hour flight, but these things happen. Its no big deal. When the flame gets lit and the Games are underway, a two hour bus ride will be totally insignificant. I've been to 4 Games, and never seen a place like this Olympic Village. Everything looks brilliant, easily the best I've seen. And the transport is no big deal - all Games have these little glitches at the start. they'll sort it, and everything will be great."

Having seen the Pendleton documentary the other day, there is every possibility that her ration of 15 may get used given that her blokey is 'on the team'.

She did seem a bit 'high maintenance' mind. Lack of self confidence in some areas of her life but clearly very confident in her own sporting ability.
