I did laugh when I heard a Weymouth butcher interviewed on radio 5 this morning. He'd been forced to remove a sign depicting the olympic rings made out of sausages.
He then replaced it with sausage squares instead but was threatened with legal action by Locog so had to remove that as well.

Genuis call for a thread........................the legal stuff is always heartwarming...................just behind smiling Boris and Seb lies the lawyers, a seething mass of orcs ready to storm Gondor and the Shire from the bowels of middle earth.

When the games were awarded in July 2007 the lawyers and barristers congregated in the Temple Inns in their tens of thousands. Seb Coe and Tony Blair arrived in Middle Inn shortly after and what followed was the world's biggest ever bukkake party.............it literally went on for days. Tony and Seb emerged afterwards with ripped bodies and glowing skin following their extreme high protein diet. Experts in demographics can also identify a marked drop in the birth rate of partners to those employed in the legal profession in 2008.
Go Team GB.
What a load of utter bollocks this thread is.
The entire media have basically been sucking Coe's c**k for seven years and serving up the Locog press handouts on a plate. It's well over time some of them remembered what their job is, ie not be a lapdog but to dig, expose fiascos and hold people to account.
Shame we had to wait until two weeks before.
I agree totally. I'm not negative about the Olympics at all - I've got a ticket for the athletics in the stadium and I'm dead excited about it.
However, Locog, G45 etc have had seven years to prepare for this - of course they should be held to account when things go wrong. Perhaps the OP would prefer it if everyone smiled and pretended everything in the garden is rosy, even when there are some major cock ups (eg the security fiasco) going on already.
