The only superpowers I can see are either a) two votes at the round table or b) being allowed to select at random from 3 cards the name of another faithful, and not being allowed to reveal it. They can't be told the name of a traitor because otherwise the traitors can only win by being two of the last 3 standing, which seems a massive disadvantage.

If Charlotte doesn't win this then surely it's because Leanne wins. She is the only one genuinely aggressively defending herself. It's what did for Minah despite playing well until the heat fell on her, and it falls on everyone eventually. If you just plead your innocence at the table, it doesn't convince anyone. If you don't deflect the discussion quickly at the table, you are still likely to be one of maybe two contenders by the time the vote is made. The trick seems to be to be a bit aggressive all day and have a bit of luck. Joe was a twat but he and Leanne have both done that all game and Joe can count himself a bit unlucky not to have escaped murder last night.

If it is the Seer power then it's more a gamble on who gets it. Leanne has been aggressively on the front foot but not what I would call persuasive. Alexander is persuasive but not trusted. Francesca couldn't even persuade people she was irrelevant. Jake could be persuasive with the right info. If for example he is told Alexander isn't a traitor that could leave Freddie high and dry.

I think Alexander is the only player smart enough to use the Seer power to check Charlotte's status.

Yes, he played a smart move there.

But equally, is it a move that could see the heat turned back on him? It's exactly the sort of argument that a Traitor-on-Traitor attack could utilise. IMO Freddie's best play for not getting banished immediately is to go with that angle. Even if he figures out (I expect he will) that Charlotte has done him dirty, he needs to be smart enough to go for the play that's most likely to keep him in the game for the final. I don't think that's trying to take out Charlotte. He needs to turn the heat to someone else, and the easiest target for that is Alexander. There's already doubts about him, and of those who voted for Minah he's going to be the easiest to target as a "Traitor to a Traitor".

Charlotte is still under the radar enough. Leanne is clearly thinking it's either Freddie or Alexander already, so I don't see her being swayed to go for Charlotte. Jake has convinced himself there must be a male Traitor, so he'll be gunning for Freddie or Alexander. Freddie now has in his back pocket that he spent the whole day (two days, really) pushing for the move against Minah, while Alexander's move against Minah was last minute and can be painted as a band-wagon jump.

My thoughts is this could go either of two ways:

1. (most likely)
Freddie panics when he realises Charlotte has played him. He flounders trying to make a move against Charlotte and makes himself look more like a Traitor in the process. he gets voted out at banishment, and from there I think Charlotte cruises to the win. Alexander gets taken out next - and without the opportunity to say he's Faithful. We may see the game end with 4 players still in (Charlotte, Jake, Frankie, and Leanne).

2. (less likely)
Freddie knows he's been played but is smart enough to conclude he can't move against Charlotte immediately. He turns heat onto Alexander instead. Alexander is banished, declares faithful, and we then move to the end game with the remaining Faithful knowing there's still a Traitor in. Freddie goes next, but may have had the opportunity with more time to put enough suspicion on Charlotte that the game doesn't end until either Charlotte is banished or whoever has been swayed by Freddie is removed. The other possibility is that by surviving, he's then able to convince Charlotte that the best way of winning is for the two of them to vote together to out all of the Faithful and it goes down to the two of them.

Nobody gets murdered, so start discussions about another recruitment. Freddie will realise that Leanne told people she had the shield, so he will then know he was stitched up.

I know he might realised he's been stitched up, my point is how does he then point the finger at Charlotte, given he can't doesn't want to give the game away that he himself is a traitor? What can he possibly say that will bring her down?

Yeah... I thought that was the most unconvincing remark of the entire series. If I didnt know he wasnt a traitor, I'd have been really suspicious ..

(My wife, who knows little about football but likes to join in, will often say "oooh what a hard shot !! " to try to fit in. Or "how did he miss that?" when a top striker has just missed a very difficult half chance. This sounded similar)

He has to start up on an angle of "Who would be the most likely recruit?"

He's buggered either way, but he needs to decide whether he wants to help the faithful win or help Charlotte win at this point.

He should have come in and said "Look Charlotte, it's obvious I'm your fall guy. If you play me, I'll make sure they suspect you too."

I’m not convinced Freddie has it in him to take Charlotte down. He looked like a rabbit in the headlights up in the turret/tower/wherever they were.

Also, how can he “get her banished” within the rules of the game without either saying something you’re not allowed to say, or massively incriminating himself? I’m not sure I see what his play could be.

He wouldn't incriminate himself unless it was already clear he was going down because of Charlotte. Then it's easy to make it clear she's a traitor without breaking the rules.

Would love to see a season where there's a "super traitor" that even *we* don't know about until late on. Not sure how they'd make it work, but I'd love to have that element of trying to figure out who the "lurking traitor" is from home as part of the game.

I read an article that suggests that the superpower is that one of the faithful is told who the traitors are but isn't allowed to reveal it to anyone else, and has to subtly hint at it. That sounds like defeating the object of the game to me.

No, if 1 traitor is in the last 5, and they're not banished, they win it all.
