So what's happened to this 'batter's paradise'?

You almost disagree with yourself in that post. As you say, if Jimmy's on form we will skittle them out time and time again.

I haven't seen an Aussie batting side this weak since the one that toured England in 1977. That one had a number of players who had defected to Kerry Packer's World Series Of Cricket. This Aussie side seem to have a number who have defected to Gerry Cottle's Travelling Circus.

dont agree they are average tbh, maybe on paper but that goes out of the window,i agree that we arent playing our best, still think it will be tight

Forget on paper. Look at the pitch. They're looking very poor. As they did against India.

I doubt we will enforce the follow on. All the experts are saying it is a good batting pitch, the Aussies have just batted terribly, so we may aswell build a big lead and bowl at them on a wearing pitch on days 4 and 5.

I would have no hesitation in enforcing the follow-on. This lot look absolutely shot to pieces, why give them overnight to regroup?

It's just not something we do these days - unfortunately. I assume we'll bat again and hope to bowl last on a wearing pitch. I would enforce if it was me - the demoralising effect it must have on the opposition to lose by an innings, potentially, for the next test would be worth it.

Ooh looks like a part time bowler coming on , Jimmy something ........

This is looking like the football equivalent of 3-0 up before half time, at current.
