I5. Had he have not played for us before those against him coming back would have been creaming themselves that a player from Celtic could be coming to Brighton...so where's the consistency?

Now THAT is a very very good point and I think you're right.

Virgs would be a "snatch" if we secured him on a free transfer. Even with 2 Championship clubs interested in signing he maybe thinking of the future and coming back to the Albion fold could be better for the remainder of his career. I see him as a utility player rather than being pigeon holed as a defender. At 25 he is young enough to take over this role , especially if Muzza or Fozzy pick up injuries and he is the replacement. If competition for the starting line up is tough I would think having AV on the bench would pysch up the team. With some matches last season the substitutes list was hardly inspiring , leaving you to think who could come off the bench and make a difference.

Spot on. It would be great to have him back IMO. He's also another leader to add to FDM, Elphick, Hawkins, El Abd, Thompson and Fozzy - our Championship sides were packed full of players with leadership qualities. The only proviso on bringing him back is that we need to leave some budget for filling in the real weaknesses (ie left back and centre midfield).

would be a excellent signing. Covers us for so many eventualities. MA obviously likes him, he is a plays all over the pitch which makes him VERSATILE.... Again something that MA wants....

He could also sign him on the proviso of him becoming CAPTAIN...?

If we do go for him we do still need to sort out LB, CM and 1 other..

how can we get him on a free transfer when he has a year left on his contract and we sold him to them for £1.5 million

will cost us unless it is a season long loan

Because Celtic sites are saying that they have made him available for release on a free transfer to interested parties as he's not part of their plans anymore

Or does the fact that we sold him to them make a difference?
