Behind My Eyes
here's my pathetic offering (sorry Bjork)

It's oh so quiet
Shh shh
And so peaceful until
Zing boom
Wow bam
You've never been kicked in the nuts by a guy
You want to laugh you want to cry
'Til it's over and then
Shh shh
But soon again
Shh shh
Palace start another big riot
Spurs blow a fuse
Zing boom
The Palace cut loose
Zing boom
Bim bam
You shout and you yell
Hi ho ho
You broke the spell

Bloody Worthing!
This Be The Verse that Philip Larkin wrote after a boozy day at Selhurst.

They f*** you, your mum and dad.
They may not meant to, but they do.
They fill you with your Palace faults
And add some extra, just for you.

But they were f***ed up in their turn
By Ultras in black-style hats and coats,
Who half the time were soppy-stern
And half at one another’s throats.

Palace fan hands on misery to fan.
It deepens like a coastal shelf.
Get out the Premier League as early as you can,
And don’t have the obligatory 10 kids yourself.

Larkin: bloody hell, who do you think you are, going around raising the tone!

I'm not against new chants, but can't we just stick with the tried and tested P-A-L A-C-E Stevie Coppell... number?

Well providing we replace Steve Coppell with any other Palarse manager, then yes we can. Steve Coppell was quite nice really, (especially in 2002/3).

Now coaching in India. What a waste.

I'm surprised there are any Police left! Recently there have been a spate of thefts from vans overnight on and around Worthing.
The Police don't have any answers to track the culprits but there is a lot of activity on the local Facebook page exchanging info on suspicious looking vehicles crawling the streets. Could be a lynching if these people get caught by the locals.

They're in Patcham investigating all the van thefts there.

Largely for the benefit of jimhigham, here is the VNV Nation version of 'an ode to Crystal Palace'. I will post the tune later....

At the end of days at the end of time,
will the palace fans emerge out of the slime
that is the Sellhurst, the park built on a grave
of sorry halfdreams, wormy corpses sadly wave.
And if I should go and walk their rancid streets
what will befall me? Back home I’d shit the sheets
at the merest though of horrors Croydon way.
And they still think that its funny to be gay?

*applause*

Aren't a sizeable percentage of the population of Worthing a tad old to commit a lynching? I thought Worthing was only one small step down from Eastbourne in the age stakes?

Could attack them with their zimmer frames and walking sticks though l suppose.

You have obviously never been to Maybridge, don't judge other places by your own town's standards.

Not so, 23% over 65 for both towns according to the RGS.
