As Ian Hart has already stated if we keep on losing Potter will still be in a job even if we lose to Newport and finish 20th no chance of Bloom sacking him anymore and Potter would have to quit its a rerun of Hypia

We could lose and be outplayed by Newport and the next 5 EPL games, and Bloom will remain relatively content by Potter’s long term project.

We’re creating quite a few chances in most EPL games, Bissouma and March are playing the best football of their careers, what’s not to like?

Regardless of a relegation along the way, Bloom has firmly set his stall out that Potter is the future for many, many seasons to come.

Hughton had a pretty decent first half of 18-19 season, unlike this one under GP.

I doubt Tony Bloom will tolerate another season like this with GP, sd this relegation form continue. For 'review' read regression read relegation.

But the performances in the first half of 2018/2019 were dreadful and the lucky results we got with Murray nicking a goal here and Dunk/Duffy throwing themselves at everything weren’t sustainable as it proved. We were incredibly lucky to stay up.

This season we’re playing well and attractive football with a much more talented side. We all know we’re just a bit more clinical finishing and luck from really kicking on.

As a side we’re light years ahead of 2018/2019 which, Palace results aside, really was a miserable season.

We dominate possession in most games we play, so potter ball is working. What we do is make mistakes in defence and can't take our chances. This is down to the quality of the players, not the way they're coached. Recruitment team need to provide the players for potter to be a success.

One small issue, we're crap at corners and free kicks in wide areas, so directing our play down the wings and crossing balls in, is not going to score us many goals by the time we've slowed it down and allowed teams to get organised. I'd love some more first time crosses, low into the box so our midget forwards can run onto them, and the other wide player to be running in on the back post when the obvious miss happens.

Solly delivered several great crosses against SU, no where near Ramsdale, each time the strikers remained in a slumber.

Scoring some of those chances still doesn’t mean we would of won the games.

Eh? Of course we can’t categorically say scoring more chances wins games but it’s likely.

The fact is that we have outperformed the opposition in a large number of games this season statistically, but haven’t had the results. Bloom will know this, it’s the basis for the how the whole club is progressing now.

The fact that we may be being let down by a goalkeeper underperforming, or a striker missing chances that he should be scoring won’t be ignored by bloom.

The first half of 2018/19 season was hardy dreadful, 5 home wins, 2 away wins, 3 home draws and 1 away draw.

The second half of 2018/19 arrival of Ashworth, rumours of Hughton on his way, new beginnings players downed tools the home performances then were atrocious.

1 home win and 1 home draw, 1 away win and 3 away draws still not too shabby in the best division in the world.

Hughton Out....... Tippy tappy, one home win in 2020 Potter In..:flounce:

But is the football that attractive ? Today was boring and predictable. One tempo, harmless football, all played in front of the opposition without hurting them. We don't seem very flexible as a side. We are lacking solidity at the back. We cannot defend a lead. We have no variance in taking set pieces or defending them. Every game is an exercise in working out how many team changes there are going to be.
I find our style very frustrating. We can't seem to quite get it right. As many issues at the back as upfront. The balance is not quite right. Too many luxury, lightweight players at the same time. We are not capable of winning ugly and all relegation threatened sides have to have this in the locker.

2020 has been shit, but it hasn't helped that we've only won 5 games, of which one was an end of season dead rubber.

1 win at home all year.

I am surprised people are surprised by this poll. There's not much evidence that the guy knows how to improve- it's a big gamble keeping him on.

Ridiculous it’s that high isn’t it?! Clueless and embarassing in equal measure.

But then I’ve also seen posts today saying that Duffy is better than Webster, March didn’t play well today, it was Welbeck’s fault that Dunk missed the header earlier and that Murray should be back in the team, so nothing should surprise about some fans inability to understand football.

You obviously didn’t watch us play and just looked at the results in the first half of that season then.

We were dreadful to watch, statistically awful and very lucky to get those wins. The writing was on the wall that luck couldn’t last and we were going to struggle. The way we were playing then wasn’t sustainable at all. It was obvious we desperately needed a new manager and wholesale player changes which is why Bloom acted immediately at the end of the season.

But there were no rumours of Hughton going at all at that stage of the season either so you can’t use that as an excise. The manager and players simply weren’t good enough.

NSC’s at its most hilarious tonight, no doubt some big hangovers tomorrow.

Apparently:
Solly and Lallana were crap, Bissouma didn’t shine, we were slow, ponderous and boring, unlike CH’s EPL football up to Dec 2018.

It's what we call the 'long tail' in the normal distribution (and the noisier, the more stupid). Anything in the lilac shaded region should be put on ignore, and made to live in a caravan on Sheppy. Fact.

Today had once again shown us we have decent players who are badly organised to cope with any pressure put on by the opposition. This won’t change unless we have a better manager

You’re surprised it’s not higher? I am.

I'm surprised you're not marching up and down the Shoreham Road waving a big 'Porter Out' banner. Where is your commitment? I saw nobody on the news this evening taking the sort of Direct Action necessary to save The Albion.

Or . . . .are you just talking this Great Club down? Just like those anti Brexit moaning minnies who can't accept a referendum result and keep talking this Great Nation down. ???

You decide. Start that People's Porter Our campaign or.....you can guess the rest

So...pray enlighten me. What do we need to understand ? That two wins in fifteen is work in progress? What I saw today was our inability to keep two leads because of defensive failings. Its happened time and again this season but nothing seems to change. Thats my worry. Thats what I understand about our team.
